The Covenanter Hotel - Description

The Covenanter Hotel is a small 18th century Coaching Inn in the historic village of Falkland. Falkland is a Royal Burgh midway between the Forth Road Bridge and St. Andrews, the rural heartland of the Kingdom of Fife. Central to some of Scotland's finest golf courses, there are over forty within an hours drive. Not forgetting our own village nine-hole course. Falkland itself is famous for its Royal Palace dating back to the 12th century and the home of many of the Scottish Kings and Queens. The Palace is the home of Royal (real) Tennis, we maintain that it is older than Hampton Courts! The hotel is opposite the Palace, in the square with cobbled frontage and a view past the church over the Royal Orchard.
