'Staying in Grange for an annual event I was very pleased to have discovered Thornfield House. The single room was very clean, central heating and cosy with maximum use of available space with a fantastic view over the bay. Bathroom was well thought out with nice touches and en suite shower was good. The breakfast was excellent with fresh fruit and choice of full English breakfast.A short walk into town but no downside for us and very good value for the money.'

'This was a really great place to stay. Warm welcome, clean modern room with crisp white bed linen. Superb breakfast which included homemade jams and fresh, not from concentrate, apple juice and orange juice. I stayed in Cartmel the evening before in accommodation that cost more yet had no where near the same level of quality. Highly recommended.'

'After booking for the 13th/14th September I read the reviews previously written and was a little shocked by the comments made for the 27th July - on arrival I was made very welcome by Lynne who made me a refreshing pot of tea. The single room was small but very clean and well decorated. The en-suite showeroom was more than adequate, the towels and bedding good quality and pristine. The breakfast on both mornings presented a varied menu which was excellent. I look forward to my next visit.'
