'We stayed at Alma House for two nights at New Year and were very pleased. The room was clean, nicely decorated in a modern way and well stocked with food for breakfast. It's a way of running a bed and breakfast that i have not come across before and it works well. The room we had was not big but was very reasonably priced at a potentially high season time of year and so i have no complaints. Alma House is 5mins from a nice little curry house which we used, The Viceroy, and several other nice looking restaurants along St. Leonards Road. It's also a maximum of 10mins walk from Windsor castle and Windsor town itself.'

'Stayed at Alma House for two weeks while homeless as starting a new job in the area. Stayed in room 1, which although small is perfect for a single traveller. Everything is catered for. In room breakfast is very convenient, and even catered for my special request of coco pops everyday! I work as a Reception Manager in 5 star hotels so was glad to find such clean, comfortable and functional accommodation at a reasonable price. Location fab for a walk into Windsor centre. I parked on the street just paying the odd 30p an hour if I got back before 8pm. Staff very friendly, helpful and available when needed but not constantly bothering you. Would most definately recommend and would love to go back again.'

'I stayed in Room 4, a single room with ensuite bath. It is a quirky little setup, with a narrow room, with a narrow bathroom appended further in. It was clean, nicely-appointed, having both a full bathtub and a walk-in shower. The TV was first-rate and there was a small shelf for eating and working with my lap-top. The continental breakfast was generous. The building is conveniently-located for seeing Windsor. Be prepared to pay cash in order to avoid a surcharge for a credit card. Would I come back? I have already! I stayed two nights, went to my daughter's graduation in Oxford and ended up a week later back for two more nights. This is a good deal! I recommend it highly. The only reason I didn't give it five stars is that it is small...but a hermit like me doesn't care! :-D'

'After a week in a London Hotel our first B&B on a 4 week tour of the UK was outstanding, particularly for a family. We had ground floor (good news when you have 4 suitcases and kids). The room was clean and small for a family but well organised, so the size didn't matter. Breakfast was supplied in the room (it wasn't the traditional full English cooked version, but healthy cereals, muffins toast) which was a pleasant way to go and probably a healthier way to go. The location was perfect, just around the corner from a much needed laundry with a pub (the firestation) and free wifi access next door. Only 10 minutes into town and the Castle via the main shopping street. The info booklet in the room was very informative and accurate in its recommendations. Highly recommend this establishment for anyone travelling with children. We will definately be back with or without the kids.'

The room was small,but it was extremly tidy, clean and had everything updated. They surprised us with a bottle of sparkling wine for our anniversary. The rooms are small but they are clean, warm and well equiped with everything I need for an overnight stay and I have yet to be disturbed by other guests.
