'A friendly welcome at reception was a good start. Our twin room was well equipped, with a new flat screen TV and DVD player. Hundreds of DVD are available from reception. Super tea and coffee selections. The bathroom is modern and everything worked fine. Breakfast selection is comprehensive. The car park is compact but a hotel with free parking is a bonus in Eastbourne.'

'It was a pleasure to stay in a hotel that felt as if the owners cared about their guests. The room was very comfortable, the restaurant excellent and the lounges and the bar were cosy. Lovely and unusual touches, like the film/dvd cabinet in the lounge, made the stay a notch above expectations. Overall, an appealing place for a relaxing break. It will be even better when the TV goes over to digital so more channels become available in the bedrooms.'

'I picked the Devonshire Park Hotel due to it close proximity to the the Congress Theatre. Location was excellent to town, beach and University so could not have been more pleased. I booked 2xSingle rooms (me and my daughter), but was upgraded on arrival to 2xDouble deluxe rooms. Staff were friendly, breakfast was superb and car parking on site a bonus. My daughter is in the local Uni and I will use this hotel each time I visit Eastbourne in future.'
