'This hotel is situated by one of the most beautiful Welsh estuaries just outside Dolgellau. This is the second time we have stayed there, and we have been impressed by the quality of the service, the ambience of this historic building (particularly the guests' "snug" lounge) and not least the high standard of the food. Add to this a truly spectacular view at breakfast across the Mawddach river: highly recommended.'

'A really enjoyable stay. Our children loved the adjoining room they stayed in. The extra television was good to have and the posters are a lovely idea! It was nice to sit by the fire in the resident's lounge with a drink before our evening meal. Food was delicious (evening meal and breakfast)and the staff really friendly and helpful.'

'We were very fortunate to have beautiful weather, and even if that had not been the case, we would have enjoyed the hotel, its exceptionally lovely position, and the very pleasant staff, excellent food, very good, well furnished accomodation, with first class facilities. Also the facility of WiFi, at least in the main part of the hotel. The hotel is privately owned, and with a handpicked landlord, good maintenance attention to detail, all leading to a caring, and interested staffing of the hotel. We would be happy to stay there again.'

'Lovely hotel, could not do enough for us, even with our late check in on a extremely busy Saturday night, staff reserved a table for us to have an evening meal without us evening asking, thats what I call customer service, the evening meal was 10/10 and even though had to wait a short while,and worth the wait I might add, we were given a complimentary drink. Staff were very friendly and bent over backwards to help, even though they were rushed off their feet.'

'We had a lovely stay at George III hotel recently. We stayed in room one on the main building, it was beautifully decorated and the bed was really comfortable, we had views over the estuary. We booked a table in the restaurant for our evening meal. The food was good value for money and the staff warm and friendly. The breakfast next morning was very nice. Would definatley stay there again.'
