'A comfortable well equiped cottage, a r"home from home". Each afternoon we came home to find a welcoming open fire lit for in the living room. Nothing was too much trouble for our host and hostess, who made us feel really welcome.'

'A very warm welcome & stayed one night in the lovely cottage which was extremely comfortable. A free mini bar was provided which is amazing & so rare. Fresh fruit & such special walnuts - hence the business name. Everything was provided to make our stay so special. An amazing cooked breakfast was brought to us in the morning & special provision had been made for my partners gluten wheat intolerance which made such a difference.. Our hosts were so friendly/helpful & we will most definitely be visiting this special place again run by special hosts. Thank you so much..'

'The room was wonderfully romantic with four poster bed, fridge stocked with free drinks and snacks and surround-sound TV. Cooked breakfast is brought to the room at a time of our choosing. Diane and Steve our hosts were very friendly without being intrusive and did everything they could to make the stay as loveley as possible, even offering to drive us to the local restaurant so we could have a bottle of wine with our meal. I cannot recommend it highly enough and will definitely use it again when we revisit this wonderful part of the country.'

'Zeer goed ontvangen door de eigenaren. Leuk nostalgisch pand en inrichting. Alles werkt prima en iedere dag vers ontbijt. Rustig gelegen. Veel wandelmogelijkheden en 20 minuten vandaan Cambridge. Voor vliegtuigenspotters ligt er op werpafstand een vliegveld van Royal Air Force (RAF. Bedden zijn van goede kwaliteit en wij hebben heerlijk geslapen. Als je van stilte en goede verzorging houd is dit een aanrader.'

'Recently returned from our stay here and have to say it was fantastic.Diane and Steve were wonderful hosts,even booking us a table at a pub in the area running us there and picking us up after our meal. 'We have just returned from our two night stay at the Walnut country house and we would definitely recommend them to people visiting the site. We felt very well looked after but the hosts were not intrusive and even made the offer to drive us to a local restaurant so that we could enjoy a drink together, had we wished to do so - very thoughtful gesture and their room reflected their kind nature - also with lovely dressing gowns and little nibbles, beer in the fridge if needed and some fresh fruit and yoghurt, you could take your pick. 'My partner and I had a fantastic nights stay. We decided to book an evening to get away from our busy lives. We were upgraded to a cottage with a hot tub from a suite. A lovely homely cottage with an open fire. All our needs were catered for from fresh walnuts off the tree to the free mini bar to the breakfast goodies left for us as we had to leave early in the morning. 1st class lovely hosts, nothing would of been to much trouble for them. 'Booked a double room B&B for 4 nights but moved to cottage on arrival. Not a problem as it had kitchen facilities we had not expected as well as a hot tub. Cottage turned out ideal as we were out sightseeing most of the day and very comfortable for our evenings in especially the open coal fire. Excellent cooked breakfast served. 'What a perfect weekend! I travelled to the walnuts with my partner and stayed in 'cosy cottage' and what a delight it was. From the moment we arrived to the moment we left we received a service that felt truely special - we felt there was nothing Steve and Diane would not do! The hot tub was amazing and added that extra treat to a special weekend. After reading reviews we was slightly worried about finding the cottage, but we would like to say we found it first time round, no problems (and we get lost easily). Sat nav took us directly outside the cottage and even without this we feel the online pictures would allow you to easily locate the cottage. We will certainly return, perhaps for a winters night so we can make use of the log fire!'

'My friend and I stayed in one of the cottages with our boys (both aged 9). On arrival we were greeted by Steve and Diane who couldn't have been more helpful, making up another of the double beds on discovery that we weren't a couple, we all had a comfy bed in our own room each. The fridge was full of all the essentials (milk, butter, water, beer) there were freshly laid eggs, bread, cereal, fruit on the side, the kitchen was really well stocked. On return from our evening walk the hot tub in the garden was ready and the fire in the living room had been lit. We had a wonderful time, incredibly peaceful and very comfortable. The hot-tub was amazing, we had horses at the end of the garden and our children were begging us to live there. Plus Steve and Diane were so lovely, after a wonderful breakfast (my son says - the best sausages he's ever had) we left feeling well fed and happy.'
