“Mansewood Hits the High Notes”

'I recently stayed at Mansewood during a hill-walking break in and around the Trossachs. Alan and Sharon kindly laid on several days of perfect weather to accompany their generous hospitality. Comfortable beds, tasty home cooking, stunning scenery - and some accomplished accordian-playing! As well as walks a-plenty, there are lots of brilliant biking roads around, and bikers are made to feel especially welcome. I'll be back, and next time it'll be on two wheels!'

'It was an epic cycle ride of 125km. Day 1 of my journey to John O'Groats. Arriving rather dispirited I could not have asked for kinder people to welcome me and to offer the encouragement and local guidance to carry onward. Mansewood is a nicely appointed with a cozy room and delightful food.'

Mansewood Country House - Description

The Guest House / B&B dates back nearly 300 years, it is a warm and relaxing country house situated at the top of Loch Earn at Lochearnhead in the Loch Lomond and Trossachs National Park on the border of Perthshire and Stirlingshire. The 4*star B&B guest house accommodation offers a warm, friendly relaxing atmosphere with plenty of public space including cosy licensed bar, bay window seating area and lovely garden to sit and chill. All our 6 bedrooms in the b&b/ guest house are en-suite. We provide home cooked evening meals with varied menu at reasonable prices; we will try and cater for most diets by prior arrangement. Ideally placed at the start of the Scottish Highlands where you can enjoy dramatic scenery, castles, walking, golf, fishing, whisky distilleries, history and heritage, lochs and gardens, shopping or just generally relaxing in our traditional home. The more energetic can bag a Munro or maybe a Corbett or two. The house is adjacent to the Sustrans number 7 cycling route stretching from the bottom of Loch Lomond through Callander, Balquhider, Strathyre, Killin, Kenmore, Aberfeldy to Pitlochry. Glasgow, Edinburgh, Perth, Oban, Stirling, Fort William, Glencoe are all around 1 hours drive from the B&B./ Guest House at Lochearnhead. We welcome motorcyclists being keen bikers ourselves and situated in some of the finest biking roads in Scotland.
