'My partner and I recently travelled to Manchester to meet up with old friends. I cam across the Website for Ivy Mount House and was very impressed with the website presentation. The booking was clear and easy and Paul was more than helpful with the correspondence. Friendly welcome when we arrived and that was the way it was for our stay. 'B&B is well located for Trafford Centre and Old Trafford. Owner is very friendly and ready to provide help for visiting the surrounding area. Room 6 is OK, though en-suite bathroom is extremely small such that a well-built person would have trouble fitting into it. All-in-all, it's a good deal for the price.'

'This was our first trip to Manchester and we are hopefully looking to visit again in the near future. We arrived to Manchester Picadilly and had about a half hour tram journey to Eccles. It was easy enough to get to, however when we got to Eccles we were a bit baffled about how to get to the guesthouse. After asking around we finally got directions and was pleased that it was just a short walk from the tram. The room was lovely and clean and Paul was a great host. There are a few nice restaurants close to the guesthouse, where we enjoyed a great chinese. The room was tidied everyday and breakfast was fab. If you don't mind a half an hour journey to the city center I would recommend the 'Ivy'. I think location was ideal as we intended to do the tour of Old Trafford and it is just a fifteen minute tram journey with a great outlet shopping centre nearby. I really enjoyed my stay and would definitely stay there again. Thanks Paul!'

'We stayed for the Take That concert, not really knowing Manchester at all or its public transport we were helped by Paul who organised taxi's to and from town, gave advice on how to get to the venue, advised on where to have lunch (very important!!)offered help if we were ever 'stuck' during any part of the stay and all this before breakfast!! The room was great, clean, plenty of towels and with all you need for a stay!! Breakfast was lovely and like 'home from home'experience! Paul and his wife made us feel like we were the only one's staying (even tho we were 2 of 20 other guests!!!)it was a thouroughly enjoyable stay, highly recommended as a good base near town, we will definatly use again!!'
