'My wife and I stayed for five nights. We were given a warm welcome and handed the key to our beautifully decorated room in this lovely Victorian townhouse. On a quiet street, away from traffic noise, the house allowed us to get a peaceful night's rest after busy days out. There's plenty of variety on offer for breakfast and our waitress was attentive and polite. The only potential drawback for anyone travelling by car is that parking at the house is limited to four vehicles. We travelled by train so this was not a problem.'

Everything went smoothly - parking spot right outside the house, warm welcome from David, as well as a clean and comfortable room with fantastic views of Edinburgh from the top floor of the house. There was a large choice at breakfast, particularly impressed by the amount of vegetarian options (savoury pancakes with cheese and eggs were a particular favourite.) Although a little way from the centre a busy bus route a couple of minutes down the road meant that we had no problem getting into town. The bus took about 10 minutes. But also, the area where the B&B is located had a lot of lovely cafes and shops. All in all, a great stay. Would not hesitate in coming back for our next Edinburgh adventure,'

'Our stay at this guesthouse was just amazing. It was clean, tidy and the rooms were decorated to a high standard, our room had everything we could need. The bed was super comfortable and the breakfast was just perfect. The menu was catered for every single need and the food was so delicious. The owners and other staff were very polite and helpful. 'We recently stayed at the Albyn and it was just what we needed. Comfortable, friendly and very clean, tasty full breakfast and reasonable price. Ideal location, my father was in the Murryfield Spire hospital overnight so we needed to be close, but also didnt want to be somewhere noisy as we have a 16 month old girl. The owners made every effort to ensure we had a good stay and gave us ideas of what we could do on the Thursday as we didn't know the area. Thank you for making us feel welcome and setting up a high chair for Grace in the morning as if it was home! When at one point I thought that I had lost my sunglasses there was genuine concern and a genuine willingness to help. Fortunately, I found them! 'My grandson and I stayed at the Albyn for 4 days in May and we would highly recommend it, both for the hospitality and for the breakfasts. We usually walked to the Royal Mile (it was about 15-20 minutes walk, mostly through parks) and when needed, the bus was only a few blocks away from the Albyn. Lydie and David were always willing to answer questions and help in any way they could both before we arrived and while we were there. The room was large, immaculate and beautifully decorated and was exactly what we had requested. I would definitely stay there again.'
