'We traveled to Edinburgh as part of our little touring holiday of Scotland & found 'Teviotdale House' on the internet. It looked goo& the reviews were good so we booked for 2 nights. What a lovely place. It lives up to the reviews & we would recommend anyone to stay there. The lady who runs it (sorry her name has slipped my mind)is very attentive & nothing is too much trouble. The breakfast is second to none with more than you can eat. We will certainly be staying here again when we visit Scotland. Just one criticism, the shower in the 4 poster room is not very good, but that's all we could find remotely wrong.'

'I stayed with my partner for three nights at this wonderful guest house. The location is the best of Edinburgh without a doubt. It is near to the Centre, but far enough for it to be a quiet place. The room was even better than what we expected for a guest house and the breakfast... just WOW!! And the owner makes you feel like home. I wouldn't recommend anyother place to stay in Edinburgh!'

'Friendly, welcoming staff, nice and quiet location, great breakfast. The room we stayed in was a bit shabby, though, with plastic wallpapers and not quite that clean bedhead and curtain over the bed, the pillows and blankets felt quite old, too. The most disturbing thing was the very strong smell in the bathroom that was adjacent to our room and meant for our private use. I had to check after my trip if Teviotdale house was really rated 4-star accommodation. I'd rate it 3-star, tops.'
