'This is the best B&B's that I have ever stayed in, and i have been treaveling for year with work. The breakfast is amazing too :-) I didn't have to eat all day! It will be even better when the restaraunt is finished. Last but not least are the staff and owners! they are the icing on the cake! See you again soon Andrew :-)'

'If I was to grade the Old Rectory purely on the room I'd give it 5stars. If I was to grade the breakfast....5 stars! And if I was to grade the hosts and staff....is there a 6th star?! Absolutely fantastic stay, well worth the pennies!'

'This weekend could have been a disaster, wind and rain making things very unpleasant. The comfort and the welcome at the Old Rectory made the trip thoroughly enjoyable, I now look forward to my next visit.'

'This is by far the best Bed & Breakfast I have ever stayed in. My partner and I were fortunate enough to be able to stay in the Wenlock room with four poster hot tub. Absolutely beautiful interior decoration but it was the personal touches that made our short stay extra special. Would love to stay again.'

'My partner and I have just finished our second stay. This is a gorgeous house set in the picturesque rectory grounds near famous ironbridge. The rooms are just incredible, more than that , in my partners and my view, they are memorys we will carry with fondness through life. The rooms are completely matched by the service. It is service that is so warm, friendly and genuine, you cannot stop smiling for months and years after when that memory comes back to you. Unforgettable. Thank you again, see you very soon I hope.'

'We stayed at the hotel for one night but had a lovely time. The room was so nice with a fab four poster bed and the staff were so friendly and helpful. We were unable to eat in the restaurant as planned so David had booked us into Restaurant 7 which was also fantastic with friendly chef and staff. Overall we had a lovely stay and would recommend to anyone who wanted a treat.'

'A one night stay for 5 of us in three rooms as a base from which to attend a friend's 60th birthday party. All the rooms were spotlessly clean and beautifully and comfortably furnished. The ground floor room my wife and I occupied had a huge spa bath that was very relaxing. The staff very welcoming and helpful. The full English breakfast was perfectly cooked and the table positively groaned with jams, toast, yogurt, etc. We all recommend the Old Rectory without reservation. One small change, so that you know a guest wrote this review and not the owner - extend breakfast on Sunday by half an hour to 10.30!'

'Our stay at The Old Rectory was lovely, the room was perfect with every possible need catered for from mouthwash to cotton buds. I wish we could have stayed longer. The breakfast was first class and the host was politeness itself. I can't wait until we return again and are able to sample dinner, if it is as good as the breakfast then we're in for a treat. Thank you so much for making our stay perfect.'

'Context: I have worked for an airline for the past 40 years. I have stayed in some of the best hotels around the world, Including Raffles and The Langham (HK). The Old Rectory is a 'Themed' Hotel and the theme is in fitting with its location (Victorian). It have four poster beds and roll top baths, excellent breakfasts and great staff. If you are an American you will love it. Kick back and enjoy'

Our reception on arrival was friendly and remained so throughout our stay. The room was as you would expect from an old Rectory and the facilities in the room were all you could expect. We did not use the restaurant for evenwing meal but the breakfast served each morning were fantastic. We definitely intend to return in the future.'

'We were looking for total relaxation, and this is exactly what we got. The Wenlock Suite was superb, with everything you could ask for available. Total calm, and an amazing Double Jacuzzi.. you really couldn't ask for more. Breakfast was nice, nice to have milk, juice etc at your table, rather than up and down helping yourself. The host was welcoming, felt like noting was too much trouble. Will be back. Thanks.'

'We stayed at the Old Rectory as we were looking for something a bit special for my husband’s birthday. The room we had (the one up in the eves - I've forgotten the name) was stunning. It had a calm relaxing feeling as well as being light and airy...exactly what we needed after a long drive and for a romantic evening away. We had dinner in the hotel also - beautiful food. We both had the lamb shank - the meat just fell off the bone. Everyone was helpful and out every need was looked after. After a very peaceful nights sleep we woke to an amazing full English breakfast with toast, cereal, yoghurt, fruit juice and gallons of tea - just what we needed for our busy day ahead. The hotel is ideally situated with the Iron Bridge and lots of museums near by. We didn't get time to visit everything so will defiantly be back!'
