'A warm welcome in awful weather. The room was spacious and comfortable and the breakfast excellent. We did not sample the dinner because it was Sunday night but our helpful host made sure we had a booking at the local pub - The Bridge Inn - which did us proud. So many thanks for the shelter in the storm.'

'This place was a little gem. After a ghastly journey on the M6 which took 2.5 longer than it should we were made to feel welcome and given a lovely dinner. The room was clean and comfortable and we had the best night sleep ever. Lovely breakfast and only sorry we didn't arrange to stay again on our return from a holiday in Scotland. Thank you Bessies'

'We stayed a night at Bessiestown in July. I was traveling with my two adult children from Scotland. Unfortunately for us, there was an accident on the highway which caused a four hour detour and we arrived late in the evening. Everyone was wonderfully accommodating when we called (twice) to cancel dinner and then to warn of our late arrival. We are so sorry we didn't get to stay longer. Our rooms were lovely and comfortable and breakfast was grand. Hope to be able to return some day.'
