'Just home after staying the weekend in your wonderful room 1. The size of the room and tasteful furnishings second to none, but when it came to the bathroom, well words fail me, a free standing shower AND a jaccuzzi bath, with excellent toiletries, what more can anyone want! The views of course are spectacular. My husband and I were VERY impressed with the cleanliness and the pristine condition of decoration. Breakfasts were well cooked and delicious made more enjoyable by your friendly and courteous staff. The Bank definitely needs another visit to see if it was all in our imagination so I will ring tomorrow to see if you can fit us in early August and it MUST be room 1...please!!! I am about to give you a well deserved glowing review on TripAdviser....including photographs. Does the Bank need any improvements?? No you can't improve on PERFECTION!'

'We stayed one night as a birthday treat for my sister. We were very impressed with the high standard of decor in the room. It was spacious, beautifully decorated and spotless. The ensuite bathroom was stunning! Even the toiletries were of a high standard. We ate in the restaurant that night and had a lovely meal. The staff were helpful and friendly. Breakfast in the morning was first class too. There were only a couple of negatives and they were not too serious. We didn't get a sea view room - our room faced the main road and could be noisy with traffic at times. Also, the wifi was not working in the room. All in all, we enjoyed our stay. However, if I came back, I would request a sea view room.'

The staff on the morning of wednesday 2/5 were extremely efficient, friendly and pleasant. Excellent ambassadors for the hotel. 'One night accommodation with my elderly mother. Although there are stairs in the premises which we knew before hand, my mum managed fine and with the help of the manageress, everything was made a lot easier. The booking of this accommodation was very useful and the manageress couldn’t have been more helpful, even sending photos! That’s the reason I booked. Room no 1 was reserved for us which was beautiful and very spacious indeed. The sea views are to die for too. The small garden area has an ideal section for residents - superb. There is some noise from the bar until closing time but this is to be expected given location. Again, eating in the bar in the evening, noise is to be expected……perhaps dividers could be considered from main bar to eating area just to give the idea of separation rather than the noise aspect. Breakfast was quiet with lovely sea views and very good quality with a wide variety of choice and service throughout was excellent. Visited the sister accommodation - The Waterfront - and again was given a lovely warm welcome and showed around a room for the next time I come back to the East Neuk of Fife if not in The Bank again. Thanks you so much for a lovely stay for my mum and me :-)'

'We had a fantastic time at the Bank. The rooms are huge with everything catered for, very clean,comfortable and with a superb bathroom.The only downside is there is no double glazing (due to conservation reasons) which makes it very noisy on early mornings, but in no way spoilt our break here. The pub/restaurant is run by fantastic staff and the food is top notch with a great menu. This is a fantastic place to stay while visiting Fife and the owner should be proud of the tremendous amount of effort that has gone into making The Bank so wonderful.'

'We were delighted with both the room and, particularly the view from it. The en-suite bathroom was to a high standard and the quality of the cleaning was also to a high standard. Breakfast was varied and the portions generous. The highlights were the excellent porridge and perfectly cooked poached eggs. There were a few problems initially accessing the wi-fi and it was difficult to find anyone who could give advice. We persisted and did manage to eventually get internet access on a laptop, However, that aside, we would definitely recommend The Bank to others and would consider staying there again ourselves.'

'Super large rooms fitted out to a very high standard, beds were excellent, the staff were very helpful and friendly. Breakfast was very good evening meals were good but more along your pub grub lines but they don't claim to be anything else could not fault it at all. The only down side and its a small niggle is the lack of parking. I would recomend this hotel to anyone, we normally stay for short breaks at the sister hotel The Waterfront but we would certainly come back to the Bank again really enjoyed our 4 night stay.'

'The staff were great, making sure we got a ground floor big room to help with our little one. The room was lovely, clean and warm. Only negatives were it was a little nosey with people outside going into the pub about 10pm and then as they all left, and the fruit in the morning looked like it had been about for a while. However, neither of these affected our overall stay. The breakfast was good, well cooked with a nice selection. Great overall stay, would visit again and definitely recommend to family and friends - in fact we already have.'

The refurbishment has been done to a superb standard, like a boutique hotel that would cost upwards of £120 in a city. Beautiful views, great breakfast and charming staff-first class! 'We were a party of 8 staying at the Bank for 2 nights between Xmas and New Year. We enjoyed our stay very much. Rooms were spotless and the ensuites modern. The staff could not have been more helpful. We ate in the bar the first night and had a very enjoyable meal. Only downside was one couple had the room below the bar and it was a little noisy as the bar was open late that night! However the staff did go out of their way to help rectify the complaint.'
