'Looked for places to stay in Blackpool for a two night visit. Chose this place from reviews etc. The room we stayed in was ideal, kids at the bunk beds and there was an ensuite shower and it was clean and tidy. It was not the biggest room in the world but then again we were just needing somewhere to sleep having spent the day out and about. We were asked about breakfast on our arrival by Richard and we told him and that offering was served up by his wife Jeanette the next morning. We managed to have brief chats with Richard and Jeanette during our stay and they were nice people. We were able to park just opposite Heywood House which was a bonus as we could leave the car there for the rest of our stay and avoid paying parking fees, reason being that the beach and the main promenade road was a five minute walk. Overall Heywood House is what it states on it web pages, i would recommend a stay there if you are a family and are looking for a stay at a clean place, not to much noise and at a good price.'

'we really enjoyed our stay at Heywood House.we chose this guest house because it seemed quiet which it was with no problems with noisy or drunken guests.(There is no bar which siuited us fine, plenty of pubs around for that sort of thing).The guest house is in a great position, a stonesthrow from the main promenade but the street itself was quiet.Although there is no private parking we had no problems parking on the street.The room was clean and modern and the breakfasts were excellent.We read all the reviews before booking and came with an open mind as a couple of reviews suggested Richard was abrupt and rude but we found no evidence of this.We found both Richard and Jeanette polite and friendly.This is not a complaint but only a concern or suggestion that some sort of safety catch or bar be placed at the window.our room was on the top floor with the childs bed directly below the window and as it was quite warm when we stayed we wanted it open most of the time.We opted for our child to sleep in the double bed so he was well away.As i say only a suggestion.We thoroughly enjoyed Blackpool and if visiting again would not hesitate to stay here again.Thanks for our stay and we have rated four stars but would have given four and a half had the computer allowed me.'

'My first impression was the place was the best looking B&B out of the load we saw whilst driving around Blackpool in the morning. It’s clean, inviting, friendly and traditional outside whilst being modern inside. There are quite a lot of stairs if your on the top floor which didn’t bother us but might someone who wasn’t able to claim too many. We were situated on the top floor, at the back on our own. The view wasn’t very good (just how the back room is situated onto other people’s properties) but we barely had time to look out as we were out all weekend, the hotel room was a lovely area to wind down after a busy day and get a good nights rest for the following day. You are supplied with an ironing board on 2 floors and an iron, so if you needed one, it’s there to use. The room we were in was a purple and cream combination with a small flat screen TV with remote. It had a small shelf with a kettle, tea and coffee. There was a travel hairdryer in the draw, a large mirrored dressing table/desk and a large wardrobe. The en-suite was at the bottom of the bed. It has a spacious shower, large shell shaped sink and toilet with a shelf above and long mirror. For the small amount of space they had, they made the most of it. It’s one of the best places I’ve stayed when on holiday and would go back again and recommend it to everyone and anyone who went to stay in Blackpool. The prices are excellent for what you get, which includes a full English breakfast (or other choices) in the morning. There was no (maximum time) to be in at night as long as you didn’t upset the other people as you have your own key and fob into the building. Smoking and fast food weren’t allowed so the whole building smelt good. They also had a pool table room.'

'We stayed at Heywood house for the weekend of 8/4/11 when Arsenal played Blackpool. Jeanette & Richard welcomed us when we arrived and are a very friendly couple who quite obviously have pride and commitment to their business. Our room was very nice, clean and tidy and plenty of room to move around.The breakfast was great and to be honest was much better than we have received in some hotel`s charging twice as much!! I would not hesitate to recommend staying here and if we are ever in Blackpool again we will be going back to Heywood House.Thanks.'

'Excellent service and value for money. A good central location, with plenty of free on street parking. Hosts were very friendly and helpful. The very comfortable, clean room was nicely decorated, although a little small, but had a 4 poster bed. It had everything we needed including hairdryer, shower gel & soap.. with an iron and ironing board for use too. We enjoyed a good breakfast and would certainly recommend it to others and use it again ourselves.'

'Myself and partner stayed in the 4 poster room on 2nd April..was such a relaxing atmosphere. Very impressed with cleanleness. The little touches also made me smilel in the toilet roll folding etc. The guest house was very secure and quiet. Breafast was lovely. Jeanette was always helpfull when we spoke and was polite..
