'Stayed at hotel mid March while taking in Mrs Browns Boys at the Playhouse, less than 5 minutes away. Very central location being just a short walk from Waverley. Pleasant staff working in historic building, room was fine and breakfast was good, though not full cooked. Eggs were on offer and a continental buffet. Good value for the centre of Edinburgh.'

'The Hotel Regent is a nice little hotel near downtown Edinburgh. The employees are very friendly, the rooms are clean, the included breakfast is good. There is free Wi-Fi available, which is working in the lower part of the hotel (not in the higher floors). I can truly suggest this hotel for a stay!'

'Travelled with my sister to watch a show at the Playhouse Theatre.The hotel was in an excellent location for bus station and Playhouse as well as a trip down Princes Street.If you just need a base,this is perfect,if you want luxury go somewhere else,room was a bit damp and shabby,but would use again for convenience.'

'Great service at the hotel. Breakfast was good as well, except that it was rather late (it starts at 8am), so we missed it because we were leaving early to go on a day trip. The place was clean, if rather old, which did meant that it was rather pretty and quaint. Really close to the train station as well. Thoroughly enjoyed my stay there.'
