'It was a refreshing change to expereience such a quick response from Wendy in the booking process. The location of the guest house is excellent to access all parts of the forest. We had a lovely friendly welcome from Stefan who provided lots of useful information for the locality. Stefan was a great help when the chain on one of the bikes we hired broke and he liaised with the bike company for us. Fantastic breakfast, lovely spacious clean room and very comfy bed. The shower was difficult to balance the temperture with the power and seemed a little temperamental and the hair dryer appeared to have no heat controls and only produced luke warm air. Would have liked breakfast on Sunday to be served up to 10am and didn't feel it appropriate to have the tables spray cleaned while guests were eating breakfast. We had a lovely few days and would definitely consider returning to the guest house when next visiting the New Forest.'

'We had a lovely stay at Little Hayes guest house for the first leg of our mini-moon in March 2012. It is one of the best guesthouses we have ever visited. The guest house was so immaculate and clean, and it was lovely to go up to our room (no. 1) to find a cool, relaxed and calming atmosphere with everything provided, including a four poster bed! It was absolutely perfect for the day after our wedding! Stef and Wendy were really friendly and helpful in providing us with maps and walk books for the New Forest. The breakfast was lovely (especially the smoked salmon and egg bagel, which was delicious!) and well-cooked with an excellent range of local produce on offer. All in all, our stay at Little Hayes cannot be faulted, and we will definitely be returning again soon. I would certainly recommend this guest house as a fantastic base for exploring the New Forest, and especially to couples looking to relax after a wedding!'

'Me and my wife returned to little hayes after staying there for a weekend in june and if it is possible it just gets better.Firstly the hosts are great they give you a great welcome and make you feel like so at home which is superb.The room we stayed in was fantastic so very clean with an amazing bed that gives you a great night sleep with a shower that is wonderful.Also added in the room are some nice little touches that are topped up daily.Then in the morning you go down to a very cosy little breakfast area with a wide choice of cereals fruit juice etc.You are then offered a choice of breakfasts which we can only say was fantastic great bacon free range eggs a wonderful sausage beans mushroms tomatoes etc and lots of toast that really does set you up for the day and wendy cooks to perfection.It sounds like that i am a family member writing this review as it puts little hayes and the hosts wendy and stephan in great light but trust me we are not we just feel if people are providing a great service then it needs to be shared and this little guest house is just great.We look forward to returning in poss april next year thanks again mark and melissa from dagenham.'

'We had originally booked three nights at a nearby b n'b. On arrival we were told there were problems with the plumbing but the owner had managed to book us into Little Hayes. What started as an unfortunate circumstance turned out well for us, as we could not have asked for better accomodation. While drinking coffee we was informed that we were not to be charged forsat night and that if we paid for 2 nights we could use the 1st night that we lost fora deposit if we return which was an amazing gesture.As far as the rooms go very comfortabale and clean a great night sleep washad.The breakfast the next day was superb all cooked loveley with good produce.The owners cant do enough 4 you and explain the best places to eat and drink.Overall a great stay and have already booked 42 nights in october please visit as u wont be dissapointed .Thanks once again mark and melissa.'

'I stayed overnight in a very comfortable, well-equipped room in which I felt able to relax. Unusually good lighting. Ensuite was clean and the shower good. Breakfast menu was extensive and flexible was served promptly, hot and well-cooked. Place is near centre of Lyndhurst, so good for amenities and transport. Cheaper with full breakfast than a well-known motel chain. Traffic noise was cancelled out by triple glazing and a fan. My only problem (as a chronic insomniac)was with levels of ambient light. Heavier curtains perhaps?'

It was simply delightful; from a genuine warm welcome to a superb room with first class facilities and a breakfast that would have fed most of the Sudan!! 'I found Little Hayes on the web looking for a BnB near where I needed to be the next morning, 3 June 2011. The whole process was conducted simply and easily by e-mail. They responded very quickly to my booking request and when we (my wife and I) arrived 4 days later, they took us in and made us feel very at home. The house is very well appointed, as they say in the trade, very comfortable and furnished and decorated to a high standard. This is the sort of BnB that gives BnBs in Britain a good name - and I have stayed in several hundred around Britain in the past 4 years. Their recommendation to the Waterloo Inn a short, quiet walk up the lane was thoroughly well born out by the pub, its cuisine and the staff there. I can only recommend this establishment to anyone looking for either an overnight stay in Lyndhurst or longer as a base for exploring the New Forest and surroundings. And at £40 a head, it is damned good value. DR.'
