'Just returned after a five day break and I can only describe the location of this fantastic guest house as stunning, with accommodation and food to match. Our room was the 'Watendlath' which is an ultra modern double, with very large bed and complete with bathrobes and slippers. Despite our late arrival, and the chef having left for the day, we were greeted by the owner (Julie) who promptly opened the kitchen and made us a lovely supper. During our stay we dined at the hotel on four occasions sampling most of the menu between between us' and I can honestly say the food was on a par with most 5 star hotels we have stayed in. The staff are also some of the most friendly people we have come across for a very long time. Our only regret was that we had to leave due to the hotel being fully booked. The owner has done a fantastic job of refurbishing the rooms and we can't wait to return. Special thanks to Julie, Kim and Matt.'

'We recently stayed two nights at the Ullswater View for our 5 year anniversary. The staff were friendly and helpful, and the room had a beautiful view of the lake. We also tried their new dinner service menu and had an excellent meal! The food was beautifully presented and innovative -- we ate fresh mushroom soup that wasn't creamy, goat cheese salad, tuna steaks over perfectly cooked pak choi, and a baked vegetable pastry that was a huge. Much better than the pub food that we also tried nearby.'

'I treated my boyfriend to a weekend away in the lake diatrict...so many hotels and b&bs to choose from but im so glad we chose Ullswater View Guest House!! Staff were very friendly...breakfast was beautiful, plenty choice! The best part of our trip away was the roon, the delux suite with a jacuzzi in the bedroom, perfect ending to a day walking in the lake district! Will definately be back x'
