'Lovely decor, very relaxing and great breakfast. Great for a girly getaway or romantic break, although bit of a gap below the bedroom door so maybe not very private! Would still rate 5 stars!'

Only five miles from the fabulous city of Bath, the B&B is situated in a fantastic location to explore the city and the striking surrounding countryside. With its beautiful solid oak floors, wonderful soft furnishings and stunning furniture, Lorne House is a great place to spend a relaxing break or take a pleasant business trip. Lorne House, locally famous as childhood home of the Rev. W J Awdry, author of Thomas the Tank Engine, is set in the village of Box which offers a great choice of pubs all of which are within walking distance. As your hosts we have a thorough knowledge of the local area and would be happy to give recommendations and make reservations on your behalf. In addition to the pubs in the village, Corsham is only a couple of miles away with more places to eat and drink and of course Bath is only a short ride away with great public transport links if you�re looking for a livelier evening.
