'Margaret and Justin make you feel so welcome that a stay at Castle Vale House is a home from home. Nothing is too much trouble and you are treated as though you were a member of their family. The location is ideal with great views of the River Tweed and the 3 bridges. Even though it is so close to the railway station it sits well below the viaduct so that you hardly know it's there.'

'Such a home from home in a fabulous location. Very friendly, caring and helpful hosts. As so many others have said: nothing is too much trouble. Loved being within a few feet of Royal Border Bridge,Berwick Castle, River Tweed and railway (and bus) station. Easy and very pleasant walks to town and upstream. Great views from room. No risk in recommending this place to friends!'

'We had the spacious room as shown in your right hand picture. Large spacious room with a fantastic view through the famous border bridge to the Tweed beyond. There was plenty clothes storage (we were there for several days on a a walking holiday). The picture does not include the settee. Parking was safe and easy and all the facilities of Berwick were within easy reach. Food and friendliness were excellent. A real find.'

'if you are looking for a bustling B&B then please do not go here, then moan about it....it doesn't deserve that! The place is PERFECT!! It has the most spectacular scenery, tucked away in a dreamland of relaxation in a ideal location near to the train station. The room was very large and view breathtaking. Margaret was most welcoming and Jeannie the collie was the best behaved dog I have witnessed. I will definitely be going back and would urge anyone wanting a break from there everyday life, then go here, have a great nights kip in the comfy warm bed, have a hearty breakfast listening to some calming music soaking in the view and then have a walk through the town. Recharged and ready for another working week!!'
