'Great place to stay Really comfortable room Highlight had to be the fabulous views from bed out over the working fishing harbour + out to sea Staff really couldn't have done more to make us feel welcome Warm croissants for breakfast was a real treat, and lunch in Rocksalt was just fantastic Only regret - we'd stay longer next time as the Smokehouse looked brilliant for fish + chips'

'Everything about our stay at Rocksalt was enjoyable. The room was small but well planned and comfortable with a lovely view over the fishing harbour. The staff at Rocksalt at very friendly and welcoming and the food excellent. The breakfast, brought to the for in a little hamper was tasty and fresh, although with no table and only a couple of small stalls in the room it felt more like a picnic. Coffee from the Nespresso machine in the room and milk in a thermos handed to us on leaving the restaurant the night before was very welcome. No doubt we will be back for another visit.'

'Stayed after lunch with our 3 year old son in the family room which has one single and one double room. Beds were very comfortable and the nespresso machine a nice touch. Did not expect breakfast so the picnic basket of croissants and orange juice was lovely.'

'I stayed in the Fergy Room which is very comfortable and has a lovely harbour view. The room has that rustic feeling. I felt I was in the South of France. A beautiful stay.'

'Stayed one night as booked into Rocksalt for an evening meal. Room was really lovely, very comfy and trendy. Great bed and luxurious linen. Fab bathroom although could really do with a shelf in there for us ladies to put our lotions and potions on! That is the only negative thing I can say, will defiantely stay again. Rocksalt was fabulous too'

'A birthday dinner at the fabulous Rocksalt and then a night in the wonderful Fergy room! It was small in size, but the ambiance delivered by the antique bed, sumptuous mattress with crisp bedding, and relaxing view over the harbour made up for it. This is however, not practically, a room to linger in for days as there were no coat hangers or room to store any items, and for non coffee drinkers ( which we are not!) there was no possibility of a hot drink, but the Nespresso machine was great! Just one thing that is beyond the control of Rocksalt and that would be the unfortunate early 7am arrival of fishermen preparing their shop opposite ( we stayed on a Friday night). On the whole, a wonderful night, warranting us not to take a taxi home 15 miles away!'

'We stayed at Rocksalt as we were dining in the restaurant that evening. The room was excellent and ideal for us as there were two rooms, one for us and one for our 15 year old son. The rooms were finished to a very high standard and sympathetic to the original use and the surroundings. There was even a small breakfast hamper delivered in the morning. Truly amazing and definately worth the £100 we paid. We will be recommending both the restaurant & rooms to our family & friends and no doubt will make a return visit.'
