'We have visited the CB Inn at various times over the last ten years or so as diners, but this was our first stay there. Food has always been excellent and comes in generous portions, and as it turns out that goes for breakfast too. The room was nicely appointed, very comfortable and warm, which was a worthy consideration given the weather. The Arkengarthdale setting is wonderful with long views to the South, and there are plenty of opportunities for strenuous activity of the outdoor variety if such things appeal. The whole party of 16 adults had a fabulous weekend. The location is beautiful, rooms nicely decorated, very clean, comfortable beds and many with great views. The food was excellent and a nice varied menu (particular mention to the lack of plastic containers - how refreshing to have milk in jugs, butter in dishes and marmalade in pots - not a foil wrap in sight!).
