A stylish retreat

'A really unique and stylish place in a wonderful old building . It seems miles away from the mass tourism of Hastings High St. Thoughtful touches like extra water before bed and yummy breakfasts and comfy beds all score very highly.'

Unique experience
5 stars 5

'The Printworks B&B offers a unique experience . The accommodation is at the top of the building and is quiet different to the normal B&B experience. Unique rooms , quirky features and an amazing huge loft space where breakfast is served surrounded by so many interesting features and flooded with light. The breakfast is great and the attention to detail adds to the experience. Well worth a visit.Friendly , different and very unique.'

Comfortable, spacious, stylish, friendly, brimming with character
5 stars 5

'We loved the Printworks, and for the two nights we were there, to attend a good friend\'s funeral, it felt like home. The bed was super comfortable, the bathroom luxuriously big and beautiful, the decor was stylish, quirky and restful, the breakfast ample and delicious, and the owners very friendly and helpful - they went out of their way to help us with an ironing/laundry problem. The dining room is an inspiring work of art, full of beautiful and interesting objects artfully arranged, in an amazingly huge and airy space, plus a friendly cat. The location is perfect - quick walk from the station, and equidistant from the Old Town and St Leonards. Moments from the sea. We would definitely recommend the Printworks.'

'Lorna made us and our two dogs very welcome. The Prirntworks is an amazing building and the rooms are very very spacious. Very comfortable bed and ensuite is gorgeous. Location is ideal as we headed to the old town for an evening out, which is only a 10 minute walk. The breakfast certainly set us up for a long trip back to Scotland. Can't recommend highly enough.'

'My husband, 2-year old and I just spent a lovely bank holiday weekend at Printworks. The hostess Lorna is very gracious (sending us lists of good restaurants ahead of time, accommodating our toddler with travel cot, booster seat and even some toys). 'The Printworks is in a great location a stones throw from the sea front. Stayed one night in the Caxton Room and one night in the Gutenburg, both fantastic rooms, very clean and fresh, my favourite would have to be the Caxton dues to the lovely bathroom facilities. breakfast was delicious. Lorna made us feel very welcome, and was full of local knowledge. I was really pleased that the Printworks is pet friendly as this meant we could bring our Frenchie too! all in all thanks you for a lovely sunny stay in Hastings'

The Gem of Hastings
5 stars 5

'We stayed at the Printworks in Hasting the first weekend in March. This had been kept as a surprise from myself and I was a little anxious as to where I was going. I needn't have been. The building made a big impression on us from the outside but when we went inside even more so. When we buzzed at the doors on arrival it was earlier than the arrival time we had stated but nevertheless we were ushered up by Lorna. As we went up the stairs it was clear to see a loving and very sympathetic restoration had taken place. Lorna met us at the top and instantly we felt welcome. The lounge kitchen is a huge space and decorated and dressed in a unique and fascinating way. The sunlight beamed in through the sky lights and the whole feeling of that room was utterly serene. Lorna took us to our room which was a room of all rooms; two rooms through a private door. The light in the top of the building was very welcoming and the rooms very well prepared for us. The bedroom was very tranquil and had gorgeous cotton bed linen and tea/ coffee facilitates and TV. The huge bathroom has been furnished with a mixture of old and new and was simply amazing. There is a role top bath & huge shower. Towelling gowns were provided as well as towels, hairdryer and shower gel. We felt the position of the print works worked well for us, we were close to the beach and surrounded by some lovely coffee shops and only a short drive away from Rye where we wanted to visit. The hospitality in the print works added to the experience. The lovely decoration confirmed it was the perfect choice of place to stay but the breakfast the next day added to this choice. There was clearly thought given to what we were given and the full English was fantastic and we especially liked the health choices that we also made (fresh fruit smoothies/ rye bread and homemade jams). Cant wait to go back, a gem of a find and we haven't stopped talking about or our showing pics of the Printworks'

'A very warm welcome and just off the beach on a small quiet cul de sac(could hear the waves through the open window) This unique former printworks building has been renovated to a high standard and decorated in 'cozy modern' with artistic flair. My dog was made to feel welcome too and there is at least one nice restaurant that allows dogs a 5 minute walk along the beach. It would definitely be my choice of accommodation in Hastings, without question.'

'Room was lovely - large and clean with a separate bathroom which was as big as the bedroom! Breakfast area was really lovely as well - large warehouse type space which was not out of place on grand designs! Only gripe (not really a gripe!) was we couldn't work out how to use the TV! Breakfast in the morning was fantastic, and the fact that it is dog friendly means we will tell all our dog loving friends.'

Authentic Space
5 stars 5

'Beautifully conserved building and rooms, with glimpses of the past, but the convenience of modern touches. Welcoming hosts who let you feel at home but not observed. Photos do not do this place justice as you can't capture atmosphere, and this place has oodles of it. Most importantly comfy beds, TV that works, hot shower and great, generous breakfast. Plus doggies welcome - awesome. Only downpoint was a little noisy after the bars throw out but earplugs are provided.'
