'We've just returned from two smashing days at the King's Arms in Hawkshead. The staff are very friendly and helpful and the food is great. Our dog Harley loved his stay as well. There are lots of good walks from the village as well as being well placed to drive to numerous beautiful places in the Lake District. Tarn Hows is a must and this time we drove over the snow covered Hardknott and Wrynose passes. We will definately return again next year or even sooner.'

'Great pub room lovely, clean close (room 2 little bit small but still lovely. Bathroom perfect. Staff all lovely and friendly and we were able to buy a loaf of the bread we were served at breakfast which was great! thank you.Food and service is restaurant excellent. All round fabulous.'
