'Traveling with a couple of friends. We were very fortunate to be able to watch the Olympic torch runner pass right by the hotel. Everything about the Beachfield was wonderful. Rooms, food, reception, manager location. Everyone went out of there way to make sure we were comfortable. I would highly recommend this hotel and will stay there again...'

'The staff at the Beachfield were the only ones who didn't give me a blank stare when I explained that I needed 20 guests accommodated for a Pagan wedding celebration. The rooms were superb and the breakfasts fantastic (black pudding heals all wounds). We had champagne waiting in the bridal room and no impatient cleaners trying to throw us out of our love-nest on the morning after. The staff dealt with all my guests waking up at dawn, returning in the early hours, and demanding an uncertain number of breakfasts. All in all, I could not have asked for a better hotel that weekend.'

'A comfortable, convenient hotel in a modern style. It was good to have free onstreet parking. The hotel was VERY clean and rooms a good size and well fitted out. A decent size bath towel for a change. The staff were normal people , very helpful , and good local knowlege. Well worth the money.'

'Pre- stay the hotel were very helpful over the phone when i booked our stay. We had a five month old baby and the hotel was happy to accommodate. When we arrived at 9.30pm the staff member was very welcoming and offered to take our bags to our room. The room itself was nicely and newly decorated and looked out over the sea. It was also large enough to accommodate all our baby paraphenalia and our bags. The bathroom had a bath, and over bath shower. The water pressure was low and it was a bit dribbly. My shower at home was better and for £160 a night I would have expected more. For me the reason we wouldn't stay again was the shower and the cost of the room- it seemed very expensive for what it was. At home we had a pump installed to make the shower pressure strong. Cost a bit but works- would reccommend the same. The cost of the room seemed steep. Maybe this was because of the location but i would have stayed again if the room was up to £100 not £160. A small issue - the front door is very annoying with the current handle. The staff seemed aware of this when i joked about how crap it was. Overall - a good stay, staff helpful, room nicely decorated And a good size, plus nice things like chocolates and dressing gowns, shower pressure rubbish, cost high.'

'A very pleasant warm and comfortable hotel with nicely updated and modern rooms blended with the style of the original building. The weather was doing its worst and while horizontal rain and wild winds wreaked havoc around us we slept through it all.'

'Thoroughly enjoyable stay at this beautifully located hotel. Room was very nice, having the feel of a small suite, fridge, and good sized bathroom. Free wifi, friendly reception staff, and nice lounges. Great value - would unhesitatingly recommend this hotel.'

'Very very pleased with the Beachfield Hotel and all its staff - all most friendly and helpful; the hotel spotlessly clean and quiet. Sorry I took your key away with me when I left, but impressed by the driver of the taxi you arranged for us when he said he would make sure the key would be returned to Beachfield without delay. Left Penzance with a feeling that the folk there were all as friendly as could be. Many thanks! Frank and Milja Worsdale.'
