'We booked this hotel through Groupon and were not disappointed. All the staff are extremely friendly and very helpful, nothing is a problem. The room was modern,clean, tidy and spacious and shower great. Breakfast was lovely, fresh fruit was great and you must try the baked eggs, I had mine with haggis, wow! Also included with Groupon was a meal both nights at the Waterfront or the Cuan Mor, both were excellent restaurants with great food and lovely, helpful staff. We had a great time and would like to thank everyone involved and would definately recommend this hotel.'

'We were only up for 2 nights but it was a lovely 2 nights. The hotel was clean, modern and the room was spacious. The staff were friendly and helpfull (even gave my baby daughter bread crusts when I said she liked the ducks in the facing canal). Only thing was we were in the 3rd floor and it was a little difficult with the little one. But don't let you put this off. The bar was cosy and a lovely way to end the evening before heading to bed. You don't miss the fried breakfasts at all. The breakfasts were very tasty and plentiful. Everyone should have the smoothies and pancakes (or the baked eggs if that's your thing0.'

'I absolutely loved this hotel & will return! Great location & price, would recommend. I love all the modern fixtures and furnishings and the power shower is fab. Can't wait to return! The only negative is the lobby can be very noisy in the morning with doors banging so maybe changing the door fixtures to soft close would fix this'

'Excellent new Hotel in Oban. Met by owner Paul who made us very welcome. Hotel spotless and has all facilities required. Staff were all very friendly and provided a very good service and ambiance. Hotel features nice Scottish tweed decor. Enjoyed Breakfast with good choice of quality products. This would certainly be my choice of hotel when staying in Oban again as many other hotels appear a bit tired.There are however some excellent guest houses in area which can provide slightly cheaper accommodation. Overall though great new addition to Oban, especially if you can get an Offer.'

'The Ranald Hotel is the first new build hotel in Oban.It is conveinently placed.It is only minutes walk to the harbour for travel to the islands and is only minutes walk to the town centre.The facade is beautiful with its large windows and flower window boxes which give it a Parisien appearance.The bar/breakfast room gives a calm restful ambiance with its soft woollen seats and curtains. It also has a quirkyness with its hand painted'wallpaper' and its recycled picture frames complimented by its well stocked bar. The rooms are pristine and comfortable and the staff are more like friends you have just met.To us it was more of an experience than just another hotel. It is a brand new venture and we hope that it will give the same experience to others who stay there. Thank you guys and we hope that your hotel blossoms in the future. Thank you for looking after us so well. P.S. You must try Harry's ramakin breakfast it is something else. Alex &Jean Speed.'
