'The Good - Staff friendly and very helpful wanting to do their best for us. Breakfast was excellent with our waiter Michael, although only 19yrs old, was polite and efficient. The Bad - Our first night was spoilt by our room having no working radiator which meant a cold night. An electric heater was provided the following night to no avail. Thankfully after that we were offered a different room which was warm and comfortable. Well done to Luke (the owner) for sorting it out. The Ugly - Probably the views, or lack of any. Understandable as this hotel is away from the sea front. Maybe some flower pots on the flat roof outside our room would help to make it visually more attractive. Overall, our stay was made enjoyable by the ambience of the public areas such as the restaurant and lounge. The free Wi-Fi was a plus.'

'Overall we had a nice stay at the Burley Court, the room was large and the heating in the room was very comfortably warm, bathroom had a wall heater which did warm the room. Breakfast very good quality and served by friendly staff, one draw back the filter coffee not to our taste, sorry. If we had to be critical it would be the bed, pillows and old sheets and blankets. The bed and pillows are extremely hard and uncomfortable. Staff warm, friendly and welcoming. Would we return, yes if we could be assured of a comfy bed and pillows.'

'The staff were all very friendly and helpful. We asked for a late check out and early breakfast on the sunday and they were very accomodating. The hotel is a little dated but it does offer excellent value for money. I would stay again.'

'A very reasonably priced hotel in a convenient location in Bournemouth, albeit an uphill climb from the beach for a "mature couple!" In need of some renovation (the hotel, not the mature couple!), although this seems to be underway, without incoveniencing the guests. I hope that increasing their water pressure is on the list of improvements, as the shower was very poor and has influenced our overall star rating. The staff are friendly, very helpful and knowledgeable. For the price, we feel we received good value for money.'

'I was looking for a hotel in Bournemouth as my son has just moved into the area. I only really needed a meal and a bed for the night. The staff were very welcoming and the evening meal was tasty and plentiful! Breakfast was also a nice treat! My room was lovely, although the windows rattled during the night (it was exceptionally windy)and so I didn't sleep too well. I will be coming to Bournemouth more often in the future and hope to stay at the Burley Court again. Thanks to all for making my stay a pleasant one.'

'We had a lovely stay at the Burley Court. I was not sure what to expect, having seen some uncomplimentary reviews on trip-advisor, and not having stayed in a 3 star establishment before. I was very pleasantly surprised - large comfortable room, fully equipped, with huge bathroom. Faultless breakfast, and all of the staff were very pleasant. I would definitely visit again.'

'Booked two days before, 30 quid, wasn't expecting much, and were pleasantly surprised. Staff welcoming and helpful. Room was better than expected, huge TV for a hotel/bandb. Only downside was the waiter in the morning for breakfast, it seemed he couldn't understand much English and there wasn't anything for veggies on the breakfast menu, however that's the girlfriends problem as I tucked into my bacon sausage and egg with delight, also very hot which makes a change for most place that do breakfasts. Great location too.'

'Easy to find, parking was available and my room was great. Walking distance from the main centre helped. Unfortunately the shower in my room (18) didn't exceed lukewarm and the pressure was lousy. On the plus side, the guy on reception offered me another room to shower in and was genuinely apologetic. Judging by the banter he had with the people staying at the hotel, no wonder he'd been employed. Good man. Breakfast is OK. I recommend this hotel - though check your shower is working if you're given room 18!'

'Firstly the Russian member of staff on reception was first class at her job, most helpful and I noticed her coming to the aid of other staff when help was required I have been in management of large leisure centres and operated my own B & B The breakfast were a nightmare milk that was off, staff whom had great difficulty in understanding english, sausages that were fried however the bacon was wonderful The kitchen just requires organising boy I love the opportunity to improve service. Staff were all pleasant and the hotel should consider when they are going to refurbish dont get rid of the mirrors and if you are going to operate a swimming pool find somebody with some operational knowledge In all our family enjoyed our stay so please dont take this as a complaint but constructive criticism There is no reason why ewe should not return Regards Derek'

'Only stayed one night. Everything was clean and comfortable, plenty of space and the staff very helpful. Only thing is, room decor is a little outdated and the TV could barely get any reception as well as there being no shower curtain. Other than that I would stay again.'
