'I stayed at the castlecary hotel for two nights with our alsatian dog. It was very comfortable, excellent shower, nice warm very large and clean room. It is very good value for money, quiet and with friendly service in the bar and the dining room. It's convenient for travel around e.g. to stirling, loch lomond, Edinburgh and roundabout. It's three star probably because it is cosy and our room hadn't been recently redecorated. I'm not bothered about furnishings but I suppose some people might be. Portions of food in the bar are huge. I didn't enjoy the curry but the burger was good as was the sticky toffee pudding.'

'This hotel is very convenient for Glasgow, Stirling and Falkirk. The food is excellent and reasonably priced, with a choice of restaurant or bar meals. Room was large and comfortable, in a separate block, so no noise from the hotel. Our only complaint was the shower In our room didn't work properly, a bit of a problem as there was no bath. We were probably just unlucky with the room we got.'

'The hotel provided an excellent break in our journey from the northern highlands to various places in the north of Engalnd. We are a mixed group, with a wide age range, but the hotel suited all of us. The cottage rooms are of an excellent standard, and we all liked the "village like" layout. The evening meal was incredibly good value, with a menu wide enough to suit all tastes. To finish, we had a couple of beers in the Poacher's Bar, which again was enjoyed by all. We couldn't find any fault with the hotel and I'm sure we will return!'
