'A lovely place to stay, with thoughtful and friendly hosts. An excellent base for my weekend at a wedding, and I would thoroughly recommend Greystones to anyone, especially if they are looking for a dog friendly place to stay.'

'Wonderful, restful week again, I love coming back here. Clean, tidy, friendly, comfortable, lovely roaring log fire in the evenings. Loved our stay, even if it did rain every day! Just our luck lol Still managed to have fun though and can't wait to come back again, see you soon (hopefully)'

'We stayed with 2 teenage girls and a dog for 2 nights in early August 2011. We all received an extremely friendly welcome, including from Doug, the Weimaraner. The rooms were large and comfortable, including one with a 4-poster bed. The situation is very quiet with lots of birdlife and red squirrels just outside. Bathrooms are shared but are of a good size, well appointed and spotlessly clean. Anne is very friendly and helpful and provides useful information. Breakfast was excellent - and I am fussy! Guests share a large comfortable dining/living room, and although no dinner is provided, we were able to eat a take-away there on one of the evenings. The village is a short walk away, though the return is quite steep. This is a very high quality B&B, ideal for families and those travelling with a dog.'

'A lovely homely guest house run by a welcoming and friendly couple. Beds are comfortable and the breakfast is filling. And Kingussie is not a huge detour off the A9 with good local amenities in both the town and in nearby Avemore. What more can I say... superb.'

'After looking at so many B&Bs in the speyside area, I settled on Greystones and it was definitely the best decision I made! Set on top of a hill with the most idyllic and picturesque views of the mountains, I'm not sure any other hotel views could have beaten it. The B&B is so homely, and the owners make it very easy for you to feel comfortable with coming and going, opting in and out of breakfast at the last minute, etc. The rooms are beautifully decorated with gorgeous 4 poster beds; we slept very well indeed. Both beds are made and bathrooms cleaned daily; all rooms are large and you are never really aware of other guests in the hotel, other than at breakfast or reading in the front room, but still then it is very cosy. Upon arrival the owner recommended several places to eat, visit; all recommendations were fab, and absolutely made our holiday. i am definitely looking forward to staying here again; I just hope we can stay for longer next time!'

'I spent one night in this gorgeous house. I really appreciate the warm wellcoming of Anne and the beauty and peace of the place - I was lost (I have a VERY bad sens of orientation) and Anne even came to pick me up !!! - Big nice room for myself, beautifully decorated, 5 stars service and breakfast for a very good price. Everything was just... perfect !!! Only negative point : I spent only one night there :-( this place is so good that one should definitly stay longer time'

'Third visit and still finding new things to do in the area. Greystones is home from home for us, lovely clean rooms, crisp bed linen, lots of hot water for showers. We're always made to feel so very welcome by Anne and Mark, and we're counting the days till we can come back again. Anne and Mark, thank you for sharing your lovely home, hope to see you soon!'

'We stayed a couple of days in one of the rooms. The service was excellent: there was always an abundance of anything we could need. The hosts fixed us bikes so we could extend our day trips further, not having a car. The breakfast was enjoyable, and the hosts were very nice and friendly and helpful in general. We heartily recommend the place.'

'An excellent and informal stay that made a walker feel really welcome and not just tolerated. I'd wild-camped the previous six nights in the hills so was wary of how I'd be greeted but there was no reluctance at all. The bedroom and shower arrangements suited me well; only the lack of en-suite stopped me awarding five stars. I particularly appreciated the option of not having to pay for and take an unwanted breakfast as I was eating on the early train home. Enjoyed the 'common room' atmosphere of the lounge/dining room rather than finding that all guests had retreated to their own rooms as often happens. I'll happily repeat my visit at the beginning or end of my next Cairngorm trip.'

'Room was very good with a lovely four poster bed which was extremely comfortable. We had the use of two bathrooms which were very clean. Mark the owner was very sociable and made us feel as though we were in our own home. I have one complaint. Compared to the breakfasts we had in the other hotels we stayed in, the one at Greystones was disappointing considering it cost £10.00 pp.'

'We really enjoyed our brief stay in your beautiful house. Thank you Anne & Mark very much for being excellent hosts. If you want a B&B with a different ambience from the normal then Greystones is for you. Bags of character with a lived in feel, maintaned to a high standard, feature bedrooms (it was a novel experience to sleep in a 4 poster), comfortable lounge and an excellent breakfast. We enjoyed the communial breakfast table where we were able to talk to the other guests, much more friendly than the usual individual tables. At Greystones you feel more of a house guest than at a normal B&B, which adds a lot. Although the bathrooms are communial, rather than ensuite, we didn't find an issue, dressing gowns were thoughtfully provided, and they were well maintained clean, had everything you could have wished for and were interestingly furnished too. All in all Greystones was a great choice for us and for anyone wanting somewhere with a bit of character. Best wishes, Terry & Carole Lockyer 28th May 2011'

'I found Greystones very reasonably priced and comfortable. Mark and Ann run this B&B in a very relaxed and welcoming way. As a birder, it was particularly helpful for me to be able to come and go as I pleased e.g. slipping out early in the morning and making my own breakfast arrangements- though I was offered the option of a light breakfast on a DIY basis.'

'I really enjoyed my stay at Greystones and would easily recommend it to anyone travelling up north and visiting this wonderful area of Scotland. It was easy to find and a very straight forward and very pleasant place with a very nice host. I only saw one of them! I slept with the window open and could hear the morning chorus untouched by car traffic. Just lovely.'
