The Breakfast was the best we had on our journey. Cooked to perfection. We enjoyed our stay very much and would come back any time. A place we recommend.'

Met all my expectations
5 stars 5

'I had a one night stay at Oakfield Lodge when visiting friends. It is conveniently located near Marple train station. Room 1 was large and bright with three windows. The bed was comfortable and the en-suite bathroom had a great shower. Breakfast was punctual and tasty and there is a lovely view across the countryside.'

5 stars 5

'A great place for exploring the Peak District. Cooked breakfast was amazing. They are also dog friendly - they don\'t give you a long list of rules - they are just dog friendly and mean it ! Very clean, beautiful big house, great pub and dog walking park down road. Right near a station. Would stay here again.'

Overnight stay for local wedding
5 stars 5

'We stayed here for 1 night 6th August to attend a wedding in the area. They were really helpful and let us check in early so we could freshen up before the wedding. Lovely breakfast, you couldn\'t have asked for more, everything from cereals/fresh fruit/juice to full english and a selection in between!! We opted for full english and it was delicious! Would definately recommend.'

My recent stay
4 stars 4

'My stay was very nice and comfortable. The whole place was spotlessly clean, my room had every thing I needed, bathroom was bright, airy and welcoming. Breakfast was very good and great portion sizes. If I were to offer advice it would simply be this \'don\'t change anything\'. I will return later in the year as my mum is a resident in Brabyns House Residential Home. I grew up in Marple from 1969 until moving south in 1983.'

'We stayed at Oakfield Lodge on 22/23 Jan 2016. We had a spacious & comfortable bedroom with wonderful views out over the hills beyond Marple. The house is a period piece - lovely panelling, interesting furniture and original features in all rooms. Good breakfast! We hope to return soon. Warmly recommended!'

Oakfield Lodge - Marple
5 stars 5

'We were attending my niece\'s wedding at Peruga a few miles away. Location - Oakfield Lodge is 100 yards from Marple Station. Also it\'s a five minute walk to the village centre which has great pubs and food. The hotel room was large and comfortable, a double and two singles, ideal as we were travelling with my daughter. Very comfortable, great view of the large garden and the local countryside from room 2. Breakfast really good. Wifi worked well, no problems connecting. All in all excellent value for money.'

Perfect Stay at Marple
5 stars 5

'We were staying for one night in Oakfield Lodge and we loved every minute of it. The house and rooms are breathing that classic english atmosphere which we (as foreigners) are looking for. Everything was very well arranged and tidy. Breakfast was rich and tasty. Should we need to stay one night more in the area we certainly will choose Oakfield Lodge.'

'Comfortable establishment in a nice old-fashioned way. My single room (without breakfast) was very reasonably priced. Though not ensuite, I had sole use of the bathroom next door to my room. The establishment is well placed for eating places and shops. Would recommend it.'

'The quality of the room was great yet, we have been moved from previously booked B&B at Oakfield Lodge to this one and we did not get the full english in the morning although we were offered to travel to Oakfiled in the morning, which I didn't have time for. All to all Great value for money!!!'
