'A warm and friendly welcome seems to be a hallmark of Edale House, ideally situated for exploring the Forest of Dean and surrounding areas. Our room was comfortable, spacious and well cared for. A wide choice for breakfast. Jean and Terry have a wide knowledge of the area and can give guests much information on places to visit. We would certainly stay at Edale again were we to revisit the area.'

'We received a warm welcome from the host of Edale House, and a welcome cup of tea after our long journey! The room was very comfortable, breakfast very filling which set us up for the rest of the day, and our host was so helpful, giving information and suggestions of things to do and places to go. Such a pretty area to visit, we certainly would go back again.'

'Edale House has all the little touches which make a big difference but without the scary price tag! REAL milk for your tea and coffee, a box of tissues in your room, an honesty bar, a visitors lounge. These things make it stand out from your average B&B. Plus charming hosts happy to give you a wealth of information about the local area.'

'I found the House very comfortable and welcoming - good Food & relaxed atmosphere home from home. It was situated in a convenient village - Parkend - very close to the many attractions of all kinds to cater for many tastes the Forest of Dean has to offer, with plenty of walks about to see the area of foot.'

'What a fantastic little gem Edale House is, nestled on the edge of the Forest of Dean; this well run, comfortable and very welcoming B&B is the perfect base for exploring the treats of the forest. Spotlessly clean and comfortable, the rooms - whilst not “overlarge”, boast many of the features that a five star hotel would be proud of, down to the little bowl of ‘sweeties’ to boost sugar levels after a long cycle! – Terry and Jane are perfect hosts – nothing is too much trouble and the breakfast would win awards if such things existed – an enticing bowl of wonderfully fresh fruits, with thick yoghurt, followed by a cooked breakfast of local, thickly sliced bacon, tasty artisan sausages, tomatoes, mushrooms, black pudding, hash browns and a choice of eggs from the garden hens - all cooked freshly to order. With Jane’s home-made jams and preserves on hot toast to finish if you still have room! There is a choice of two local pubs serving good ales to eat at in the evening, both within easy walking distance. I would certainly recommend Edale and hope that I will get to stay again!'

'On a snowy weekend we had a great welcome upon arrival and a very comfortable room and en-suit. The village pub next door was very convivial and though we did not have a meal, the menu looked great. The breakfast was really good, all locally supplied produce, including the eggs from the chickens in the garden. I would not hesitate to recommend Edale House and will most certainly use them again next time I visit he Forest of Dean.'

'A relaxed and very warm welcome awaited us on arrival with tea/coffee and cakes on offer. This B&B is spotlessly clean and comfortable. Nothing is too much trouble for the owners and a delicious full English breakfast was available every morning together with a choice of cereals, fruit and pastries. This is a beautiful part of the country and any visit here will be enhanced by a stay at Edale House. Highly recommended.'

'It is centred in the Forest of Dean which is perfect for walking and exploring and only a short driving distance from activities such as Go Ape or canoeing and other attractions such as Clearwell Caves or Puzzlewood. The room was clean and comfortable and the breakfast was very good with a good selection to chose from. The owners were nice and very helpful and their dog was friendly and well behaved. 'Edale House is a lovely hotel in a nice positon in the Forest of Dean. Terry and Jane (owners) are a lovely couple and nothing is too much trouble for them. You definitely DO NOT go away from the table hungry. Our room was spotless as was everywhere that we went and the extra touch of a few chocolates in your room each day was a lovely gesture. We wish them every success for the future as they have not been there long.'
