'Stayed her for one night in a deluxe room and can't think of anything we weren't happy with. Staff are very friendly and efficient. Room seemed to have been recently refurbished and was spotlessly clean and well equipped. Located on clifftop but only a few minutes walk into town, and the car park was a big advantage. Did not have dinner at the hotel but breakfast was superb, all the usuals plus porridge, kippers etc and all served impeccably. Would not hesitate to stay here again and to recommend to others.'

'This was our first visit to Whitby and therefore to Saxonville Hotel and we were delighted with both.The Hotel is very welcoming,well-appointed and immaculately presented. Our room was very comfortable and nicely decorated with lots of little extras that all enhanced our stay. All of the hotel staff were friendly and courteous and nothing was too much trouble. We had originally booked Bed and Breakfast only for our three night stay but decided to have our evening meal at the hotel twice. On both occasions the food was delicious and beautifully presented. Breakfast was also excellent with plenty of choice. The hotel is well located for exploring Whitby on foot. All in all a very enjoyable short break well worth repeating.'
