'I loved Ashbank House. Helen\'s welcome was lovely, the room was clean and functional, the breakfast was yummy. The patio and garden looked great, but, sadly, I didn\'t take the time to enjoy it. Thanks a lot and all the best! Sylvia'

Excellent stay
5 stars 5

'Excellent stay. Lovely room (we were in the attic \'suite\' with good views and a very spacious and well appointed bathroom across our little private landing where the tea and coffee were laid out). Breakfast cooked fresh to order and very good quality. Will definitely stay again if in the area!'

'Friendly welcome. Clean and comfortable room and lovely breakfast. Good view from the room to observe the birds and squirrels. Only downside was the walls were thin and could hear guests using the bathroom next door.'

A warm welcome and fabulous breakfast.
5 stars 5

'What a lovely b&b! From the warm welcome as we were shown our room to the great tips for places to go. (Dont miss the Moulin Inn a lovely traditional pub and microbrewery) this was the perfect stopover on our way to Ullapool. The place is really cosy with everything you might need. The breakfast choices were out of the ordinary. I had porridge and a delicious baked smoked salmon omlette while my partner had the full Scottish with proper thick cut bacon. Its a pleasant walk into town. The room in the attic is more of a private suite with its own bathroom across the landing with no other rooms on that floor. The bathroom is stunning but the beautiful bath could do with a shower screen if like me you have dodgy knees and need to remain standing to take a shower. A small matter in what was a lovely stay. I would highly recommend.'

'Ashbank House is a very nice B&B with a beautiful garden and a very welcoming host, Helen. the house is very close from the city centre, about 15min by foot. The room was comfy and clean with a nice view on the garden. The breakfast was very good, many things to eat and very good pooridge freshly made. Helen is a sweet person who talked to us about where she is from, the Shetland island, it was very interesting ! Thanks for this great stay in Pitlochry and it was nice to meet you Helen ! Lovely quiet room overlooking a delightful ravine garden
5 stars 5

'A good bed and a perfect cafetiere with a classic Scottish breakfast is the least of the pleasures on offer at Ashbank House in Pitlochry. The hostess Helen shared a common interest in textile crafts from her heritage as a Shetlander. Warm & helpful conversations are important to travellers Who appreciate local advice to make the most of a brief stay in an old town with a lot of character.'

Stay before it\'s too late!
5 stars 5

'I stayed at Ashbank House for just over a week and had a great time with Helen and Bob. My room was at the top of the house so I had the whole of that floor to myself which was great.Lovely gardens and conservatory to relax in if you want. Helen couldn\'t have been more friendly and helpful about places to eat and visit - nothing was too much trouble. Could even borrow DVD\'s to watch in your room. It takes about 10-15 minutes to walk into Pitlochry depending on your pace. The house is up for sale so if you\'re thinking of taking a holiday in Pitlochry, try Ashbank House before it\'s too late!'

Ashbank house

'We only stayed the one night so didn\'t really avail ourselves of your facilities i.e. Patio and lovely garden. The breakfast was the best we had had on our Scottish holiday. The duvets were too heavy but they were experiencing a hot spell of weather and I find the curtains let in too much light - black out linings would have been preferred. However I am a light sleeper and wouldn\'t let this put me off staying again as our hosts couldn\'t have been friendlier.'

'Dear Helen and Bob, Thank you for extending such a warm welcome to me during my stay. Providing the tip around the live folk music, inviting me to sit with both of you, and introducing me to your friends went well above what I would have expected. I also appreciated the care extended to me with the provision of hiking maps which I found invaluable. Additionally, the baked omelet was a real treat outside of the norm. Thank you for making my stay so memorable.....'

'We had a delightful stay at Ashbank. The house is beautifully situated, the bedroom very comfortable. We had a relaxed, tasty, and very adequate breakfast. As a bonus,(and following a discussion about knitting wools)our hostess, Helen, who was born in Shetland, demonstrated the use of a knitting belt, used to keep the different coloured wools from tangling and also used to keep the 3(yes,3) double pointed needles safe and secure while walking to and from the peat digging(former days I think)'
