'Our room was clean and comfortable, with TV and plenty of sockets for plugging in laptops and phones. Evening meal was good and reasonably priced. The price of £55 for 2 people for one night, including a decent continental breakfast, was great value. This hotel is not for you if you want total luxury in the centre of Newcastle, but if you are looking for a real bargain, this is it. The hotel is right beside Hadrian Road Metro station, so handy if you don't want to drive into the city centre. It is also near the Tyne Tunnel and the start of Hadrian's Wall at Segedunum. Last but certainly not least, I have to mention the friendly welcome given by the staff. We will be back.'
