Thorpeness Hotel and Golf Course - Description

Thorpeness is a picturesque seaside village on the Suffolk Heritage Coast close to Aldeburgh. The hotel has 36 large, well-decorated en-suite bedrooms, ideal for a short break or a longer stay, and also attracts golfers who can enjoy the superb 18 hole course set over gorse and heather coastal countryside. We are delighted that in May 2012 we will be hosting the EGU Seniors Championship. There are two friendly bars serving light meals and snacks all day, as well as a restaurant where diners can enjoy views of the golf course. In Summer guests can dine al fresco on the terrace or in the gardens overlooking Thorpeness Meare. The Meare is open from Easter to October and the hotel offers free use of its rowing boats to hotel guests. Tennis is also free to guests for most of the year at Thorpeness Country Club. The hotel also manages Aldeburgh Bay Holidays, providing self catering apartments, houses and cottages. Ideal properties for guests attending weddings at the Country Club, for Summer holidays or short breaks. Properties are located in Thorpeness and Aldeburgh with beautiful views of Aldeburgh Bay.
