'We had a lovely week at minster view. Staff are very friendly, breakfast delicious, plenty of choice. The room was spacious, clean and comfortable however we would have liked to see a bath as there was ample space. This guest house was ideally situated for all of yorks attractions, five minutes walk from town. Would recommend a stay here for couples of all ages.'

'We stayed at Minster View as a midweek break and we will definitely be going back as soon as we possibly can. York is a beautiful city and this classical B&B was a pleasure to stay in. Even though we arrived early in the day, we were met at the door by Mark and we were shown to our room which was very spacious and filled with Victorian style splendour. The fireplace was simply gorgeous! Mark took the time to advise us on the best places to eat and drink before leaving us to explore the city which was only a 5 minute walk away. Breakfast the next morning was delicious and nothing was too much trouble. I heartily recommend the Minster View as the perfect place to stay in York.'

'After looking at lots of guest houses for a wedding anniversary trip to York my wife and I settled on the Minster View Guest House and we were so glad we did. The owner was very welcoming and gave leaflets and instructions of local events/places to see/bars/restaurants/etc... The room (no 3) was lovely and very big with a brilliant en-suite, hairdryer, tea facilities, iron & board - even chocolates on the pillows of the bed. The bed was sooooo comfortable. Breakfast was excellent with lots of choice from cereals/full english/kippers/etc... and a very nice welcome from the staff. There is parking to the rear so the car was secure. It's only 5 mins walk to the City Centre and 10 mins to the Coppergate shopping area. All in all we loved our anniversary break which was made all the better for stopping here. We will definitely be returning to both York & the Minster View Guest House. On a side note try '31 Castlegate' Restaurant - it's fabulous.'
