Dolgellau is situated in the Snowdonia National Park, nestling at the foot of Cader Idris in the valley of the River Wnion. It is an excellent base for touring North and Mid-Wales, climbing, mountain hiking, road cycling ( national cycle route 8), walking, fishing, bird watching and for visiting the great little trains of Wales The scenery is wonderful, with the sandy beaches of Fairboume and Bannouthjust 8 and 9 miles away. Ivy House dates back to 1829 and is situated close to the centre of this ancient small town and its amenities. There are six guest bedrooms, four of which have en-suite facilities, all of them have a beverage tray, hair dryer and colour television.
