'We had pleasant stay at the Lakes Lodge. It is a well run family hotel. The breakfast served was quite good and they also have day tours of the lake district operating from the hotel, which is an added benefit. All in all, we had a good stay and would love to go back.'

'The Lakes Lodge is great little place to stay. If arriving by train you are only a two minute stroll from the station, and is also situated close to pubs and restaurants. Yet, despite being on the main street there was very little in the way of traffic noise. The room itself was large and clean, and tastefully decorated. The owner (Andrew) was friendly and welcoming. I would also highly recommend taking one of the coach tours organised by the proprietor, as not only do you get to visit some of the area's hidden gems, they also provide a great deal of local history giving insight to how the landscape you see has been created and managed.'

'The room we ordered was a twin room. It is really nice with beautiful pink wallpaper and the air in the room was fresh with sweet smell.We do enjoy the stay in Lakes Lodge,it takes only 2-3 minutes to walk to Windmere train Station and clearly be found after tourist information. The breakfast is nice, though we were in a hurry,everything just good.'
