Excellent stay
4 stars 4

'Although this is only a budget hotel, we couldn\'t have asked for a better stay. The staff are both friendly and helpful and the location was ideal for Stratford centre. I would definitely recommend this place if you\'re looking for a friendly relaxed stay.'

Fantastic stay
5 stars 5

'My boyfriend and me had a very nice week at Forest View Hotel. The breakfast was very good, the lady who made breakfast was very nice(only the Sunday service made by another lady was not so good)and she remembered our wishes after one day!Room was clean and comfortable, shower did perfect work. I liked the area with many Indian and Pakistani restaurants and culture institutions. Being a Hindu partly from Indian origin this was very nice for me that Durga Puja took place next door. We will come again and recommend to other people. Best wishes Aruna'

'Very nice hotel with an excellent management team that made you felt welcome. After we booked out at 10.30 am, we were allowed to leave our car in the car park for nearly 6-hours while we visited some friends. That was an excellent gesture and we thank you very much. Would recommend this hotel to any of our families or friends.'

Good stay!
3 stars 3

'This hotel was for average rate. The room we had was very clean and we had enough space for 4 people. The beds were good. It looks a little bit old, so there are things to tide up. But for the asked price, you can't expect too much. The only negative point we had, there were 2 furnitures broken. The furnitures should be replaced a.s.a.p. The transfer to London City was great. With 30 minutes you were in the heart of London. We didn't take breakfast at the morning. It was very small. It's only english breakfast with toast.'

'The hotel was warm and welcoming with staff always available to help with any questions. The room was large and spacious with a good sized wardrobe, kettle and kettle with complementary tea and coffee. We also had a TV with freeview available to use which was nice. cheap yet cheerful
3 stars 3

'A friend and I stayed here recently for two nights at the weekend. For £65.00 per night, we were a little dubious as the the location/room etc. but we were pleasantly surprised on arrival. The hotel staff were very helpful or arrival (supplying us with maps of the local area and bus information - even though we didn't need or ask for it), the room had evidently been cleaned regularly and was more spacious than expected. The en-suite was also very clean. The breakfast options left a little to be desired with only full English or cereal as the options....but hey, only £65.00 per night in London! In summary, if you need somewhere cheap and clean to stay near to the Olympic stadium with excellent bus links into Stratford 24hrs a day and the tube to anywhere else you like, the Forest View is it....we would definitely stay again, even if we didn't need to be in Stratford!'

'frankly, at first I put only 2 stars on my rating and I'll explain why. I really couldn't understand the lack of a few ledges inside the bath and near the two sinks . where we should put our toothbrush or the soap? And one more sink in the closet as the only sink in it isn't enough for a triple. Then, throw all these hangers, which we saw like them on the street in Petticoat Lane at the end of their workday and buy for 0.99 Pound 5 or 10 similar hangers. I think that for a few pound it is possible to improve the staying in the hotel.'

nice stay
4 stars 4

'The room we stayed met all the requirements we have asked for: it was quiet and non smoking. The description about the hotel on the internet fits to the real picture. Breakfast is excellent, the staff was helpful and friendly. Good public transport connection: Stratford metro station is 25 minute walk (by experience), bus stop no25 and no86 is almost in front of the hotel. There is only one remark to the room: the bathroom was a little small and we missed more hangers for the towels and our clothes. I liked staying there and I would recommend it to anyone as well.'

Good value for money

'I stayed at the Forest View Hotel for a long weekend with a friend. Our booking via the website didn't came through, but this problem was solved quickly and a few minutes later they had arranged a room for us. The room was small but was clean and contained everything (beds and bathroom). Unfortunately it was next to the smoking area, which caused noise early in the morning and late in the evening. And also the barking of the dog at the reception woke us up several times. Breakfast was ok. Toast with bacon, eggs, sausages and beans. And several options of cereals. But don't come in after 9.30 because the woman who serves the breakfast will not be very happy since she starts cleaning up things at 9.30 sharp. Location is great. A bus stops right in front of the hotel, bringing you to Stratfort Station within 7 minutes. From there you can take the subway to the centre of London within 15 minutes.'
