Very nice
4 stars 4

'Our stay here was amazing! We were the only guests staying there that night, so it felt nice to have a castle to ourselves! Breakfast was very good, only wish that wi-fi worked in the room.'

Nice Location

'Really very nice location. Entrance Hall could be made a bit more cosy. The food was unfortunately not that good, steak came very well done instead of medium.'

Great hosts!
5 stars 5

'We had a wonderful stay at the beautiful Broomhall Castle. Our hosts greeted us upon our arrival with warm hospitality. The kitchen was closed upon our arrival so we were given great dinner recommendations. The room was huge with all the comforts. The Scottish breakfast was great. The hosts were great!'

'We had a brilliant stay here! The castle itself is great and the new owners are doing a fantastic, professional job of refurbishing it. Customer services are EXCELLENT - the owners extremely sociable, staff too. Nothing was too much trouble. Much better than an impersonal chain owned hotel. Can't fault them for their refreshing 'personal touch'! The room was really nice and the bed very comfortable. The bathroom was modern and smart. Breakfast was good, too. We were very satisfied with everything and as an added bonus, it was extremely good value for money! We will be back.'

'We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Broomhall Castle, our room was massive and absolutely loved the four poster bed! Also our meal in the evening was lovely with candles and fairy lights around our table, staff couldn't be more helpful. We hope to stay again one day!'

Smith/Hawkins invasion
5 stars 5

'Thanks for everything. The boys were stoked to actually stay in a castle- the staff were tops (couldn't believe boss just got back from Merewether NSW!) and the food bril. Great place to jump off for Edinburgh, Ochils,Stirling etc. Next time (when we rob a bank) I want to come for a proper stay and 'do' Scotland to death. Allthebest, M&J&C&R&D'

One of the Best
5 stars 5

'Our second stay at Broomhall Castle and again we can say that although we only stayed one night each time both times we were greeted by a friendly staff. Our dinner again was of a high standard with the quality of food excellent, breakfast was also to the same high standard. Our room this time was bigger and of a higher quality and with having the roll top bath this was just the best thing to have, after having been shooting at a longbow archery competition all day. We will most definitely be back. Thanks to all. PS the personal email upon bookiing from Ty just adds to the little things that make for a better stay.'

'We have just returned from a lovely stay at Broomhall Castle. The staff are extremely friendly and helpful which creates a wonderfully relaxed atmosphere, the food was geat - more home-cooked than fine dining but very tasty, and our room comfortable. A great place to stay for a reasonably priced castle break, although more of a b&b than hotel. Couldn't help feeling that few small changes could make a huge improvement, inparticular more atmospheric lighting in the dining room during the evening would be lovely and would probably encourage non-resident diners, also do not disturb signs for the rooms would allow guests to make the most of the very comfy beds in the morning if staying more than one night.'

'We stayed for three nights and it was fantastic the staff were great (Thanks David & Louise) also the food was excellent (thanks chef). The room we had was soooo comfortable and clean. No major complaints about anything Maybe another power point in the room would be good and maybe a bell at the entrance to let staff know you have arrived. Setting was perfect and central you can get anywhere from that point. We enjoyed it so much as a place to stay we will be going back next year and we will be recomending the hotel to our friends'

'Dear people of Broomhall Castle, What a strange impression we had arriving in the middle of the afternoon: nobody around, we entered the castle, nobody again, a kind of old, mysterious castle, and then this wonderful welcome from a young man, then check-in to discover our room: wonderful again, we loved it ! We've had dinner and breakfast that were delicious ! We'll come again, no doubt ! Please send us any kind of information about your development (new rooms, new activities, etc.). Thank you again for eveerything ! Nathalie'

'Booked as a small break away. Dinner, bed and breakfast. The accomodation was excellent. THe room was very spacious, the bed huge and comfortable and the bath was to die for. The meal we had was first class and well worth paying the extra to begin with. Couldn't fault it and the dining room was relaxed and well presented. The staff were welcoming and friendly. Breakfast got us off to a good start to the day and kept us full to tea time. We would certainly recommend staying here and coming back for a return visit.'

Stirling stay
5 stars 5

'Awesome setting, room was brilliant (we had a 4 poster bedroom)and the food was very good. The only slight down side we had was that there is no reception desk and no real way of contacting staff if you needed anything. Although this did not cause us any great problem it did mean that you could end up standing at the bar waiting to get a drink.'

One night stay in June
5 stars 5

'We are a family of 4-two teenagers-so I had booked two rooms. We stayed only one night but felt it was a shame we that we didn't stay longer.I absolutely loved the room that my husband and I stayed in-I believe it was listed as an emperor sized bed. The room with two beds was perfect for my kids. We only had breakfast at the hotel and it was delicious. The staff, the grounds, the atmosphere-everything was perfect.'

Almost there.
3 stars 3

'A very nice hotel, with excellent staff and food. The wonderful old building desperately needs a little running repair, particularly in the corridors and bedrooms...the lack of attention to detail was frustrating as this hotel has amazing potential to be one of the best boutique B&B hotels in the region, instead poor joinery, and painting, along with a dirty window that didn't open and a cronky old tv almost spoilt a wonderful stay. I would certainly stay again because the staff and meals were fabulous, just please spend a bit more time and money on the bedrooms'
