'Excellent spot, my wife and I resided from 7/31-8/5/11. Jason and staff provided excellent service throughout the 5 days. Food is very good, The Old Stocks Hotel has the best Patio we visited(we toured 5 towns and many more pubs),the bar closes when the last resident retires for the evening. Rooms are clean and comfortable. Take the foot path to Upper and Lower Slaughter,it's about a 2 hour walk through rolling hills and feilds,a beautiful walk. The hotel staff can point you in the right direction, then take the bus back to Stow on the Wold. We will return, cheers, Martin and Vicki from Canada.'
