The Fox and Hounds Country Hotel is nestled in the beautiful Taw Valley. The grounds border the River Taw and offer some of the finest woodland walks and Fishing in the area. Situated on the A377, halfway between Exeter and Barnstaple, Dartmoor and Exmoor the hotel is ideally situated to take advantage of Devon at its best. Our talented chefs create excellent meals and we have a superb wine list. We have a delicious restaurant menu for lunches or evening meals. Bar meals are available .You can enjoy our wonderful food either in our relaxed traditional bar or our stylish restaurant that overlooks the beautiful garden and grounds. We have salmon, sea trout and brown trout fishing available on the River Taw.
