New year break
5 stars 5

'We spent 3 nights in this character filled house. We wanted to bring in the new year in a different way from the usual hype. We were not disappointed . We were made very welcome by Peter the owner and Bridie his Westie. There was everything provided thst you would find in any 4 star establishment . The personal service from Peter and the food was first class. We had a very enjoyable time exploring the surrounding area. No regrets at all . Would do it again .'

'For our first jet-lagged night, The Pend was a good night\'s sleep. The pillows are wonderful! Peter and his Westie, Bridie, are excellent hosts. Breakfast (ask for the Arbroath smokie) was great. Brace yourself for the drive in and out of the parking in back, or drive a very small car. Peter\'s ready to direct your way. A great location for seeing the sights of Dunkeld. Enjoyed our pub grub with the locals at The Taybank.'

'We stayed over at The Pend for two nights with a group of 7 guys. We felt very welcome and respected as guests. Peter is an excellent host and provides clear information and recommendations for Dunkeld but also surroundings. The rooms are large with ample room to move around, furnished in appropriate classic furniture. Breakfast was fantastic, with all you need plus choice of three typical specialities. The location is in the middle of Dunkeld, just off the mainstreet. Supermarket, delicacy shops and pubs are right around the corner Warmly recommended!'

The breakfasts were extremely good (a bit too much for me, but your appetite may be bigger than mine!). Wonderfully comfortable bed (especially decent pillows which I think is very important). 'Thank you very much for the comments relating to your stay at The Pend. We are very much a traditional Bed and Breakfast, more of a home than a hotel, working in sympathy with the house which is not suited to "en-suite" facilities. The quality and quantity of our consummables, toiletries and the level of services provided is intended to redress the imbalance. We also stress the lack of en-suite facilities, and the fact we have dogs, in all our marketing media so that our guests do not feel misled in any way. We hope you will decide to stay at The Pend in the future and look forward to looking after you.'
