'We enjoyed our stay at the Mansion House! Room was small but very clean and had everything we needed. Breakfast was amazing with more than enough to fill us ready for the day. Staff were polite and friendly and we were made to feel welcome without being pestered or overpowered. If we needed anything we only had to ask . Set in a lovely location the only thing we would have liked is to experience the sea view room .....maybe next time as we plan to stay again . A lovely break .'

'Stayed 2 nights. Really warm welcome including glass of wine ! Stayed in the family room on top floor which was spacious and had all the amenities we needed including plenty of towels, tea and coffee making facilities and large LCD tv. Plenty of stairs to climb which was fine for us but not for the elderly. Breakfast was excellent with a great choice. The children even had hot chocolate served in their own jug which was a real treat. It was about 15 minute walk to the centre of Scarborough . Had a great weekend.'

'My husband and I have recently returned home from a two night stay at said hotel. We found all the staff to be very friendly and welcoming. They have the perfect balance of being attentive rather than intrusive enabling us to have a comfortable, restful break. The room was presented well and was clean. A great shower! The breakfast choice was extensive, catering for all tastes. Quality ingredients were used and the chef really can cook. All this and a pleasant dining room too. The lounge area was very inviting although I didn't use it. I'm afraid the sunshine outside had a greater pull! However my husband did and he enjoyed an hours scan of the magazines available. The complementory glass of descent wine went down well too. I have only one criticism, when I was doing my hair in the mornings using my plugged in tongs, the position of mirrors and sockets didn't enable me to sit down. All in all we had an enjoyable stay, one which we will only be too happy to repeat at some point in the future. Thank you Sandra Barras'

'We have just stayed in the simply the best hotel we have ever stayed in including some of the biggest names. From signing in we where given five star treatment. The room was spacious and very clean,bed was firm but not hard so we had a good nights sleep after long walks round Scarborough. Breakfast was excellent and cooked to order,service was above what we expected. We highly recommend this hotel for anyone looking to stay in Scarborough. We tried one of the bigger three star hotels for a extra night and it came no where near to the Mansion'

'We stayed for two nights in this wonderful hotel.This was the first time we have stayed in south scarborough but it certainly wont be the last,we will return to this hotel as the location and food are excellent as are the staff who made us feel most welcome.If you have difficulty climbing stairs i would advise a ground or first floor as there is no lift that is the only critisism i could make.'

'My Partner and I stayed at the Mansion House from Sunday 26th Feb till Tuesday 28th Feb. Place easy to find right on the front. Check-in was painless and shown straight to our room (2). 'I booked the MH through an on-line offer as some 'protected' time for me and the husband to spend a couple of child free days. I wasn't expecting much and was not surprised when we were situated in a small room at the back of the building. Although our view was of a brick wall it was victorian and sufficiently high to keep us from being overlooked by anyone. The bathroom was small but clean and had a lovely deep bath. There was also an amazingly powerful shower if you prefered. The complimentary toiletries were nice and not over poweringly scented. The room was clean and tastefully decorated, if a little cluttered. The bed was firm and comfortable, although I would have liked a duvet. Breakfast was substantial with fruit, yougurt, cereal, porridge, salmon and a full english all on offer. The staff were friendly and discreet - we only saw them at breakfast and if we rang for service. The lounge was relaxing, with lovely sea views and we returned home well rested. Just what we needed.'
