Our stay
4 stars 4

'We had a very pleasant stay at the Woodbine Guesthouse. The parking arrangements are a bit hap hazard. The bedrom was clean and tidy. The bedlights are a bit too high to reach while in bed, had to get on our knees to switch off again. Breakfast was very nice. Would recommend for short stays.'

Very pleasant stay
4 stars 4

'Great location for city centre but on a quiet street so no traffic noise. Clean, warm, good sized room with everything you need. Shower a little small but did the job. Friendly staff and a great breakfast, but no good if you want a lie in - latest time for breakfast is 8:30 on a weekday, 8:45 on Sunday - a little early for my liking. Overall, good value for money.'

An excellent B&B, highly recommended
5 stars 5

'I enjoyed my one-night stay at Woodbine very much. I was given a warm welcome by Kiran, shown to my warm and comfortable room, and slept extremely well for nine hours after a long, cold train journey. Breakfast was perfect, and the whole experience a very pleasant and enjoyable one. Thank you, Kiran.'

Autumn break Woodbine Guesthouse
5 stars 5

'Woodbine Guesthouse is 5 minutes' walk from Exeter Central station,15 minutes'walk from the city centre (Cathedral),in a quiet road overlooking a beautiful park. Also 2 minutes from the bus stop for the (free!) evening bus to the (excellent!)Northcott Theatre which is based at the University site. Immaculately decorated Victorian house but with efficient modern plumbing (good hot showers!). Excellent breakfast (good coffee, fresh fruits and yoghurt as well as cereal, and all the usual wonderful cooked stuff). Lovely, helpful owner in charge and on hand, and unless you want somewhere with a guest lounge/bar (not available) after three visits, we could not recommend it more.'

The best guesthouse in Exeter
5 stars 5

'I stayed in three guest houses in Exeter during the past week. Woodbine was the best. Clean, reasonably priced, centrally located, well maintained, quiet and comfortable all describe the place, and the staff were welcoming and helpful. I'll be back next time i visit from Canada.'

Very good B&B
4 stars 4

'The B&B suited us very well - close to the town centre and with an excellent Indian resto just 20 metres down the road. Very friendly and helpful lady. Breakfast good and not too heavy for a cooked plate. House in excellent state. Room comfortable, en suite tiny but functional. Only criticism no functional bed side lights. Would defitiely stay again'

'A group of 4 adults, taking 3 rooms. The rooms were pleasant enough, and cleanliness throughout the guesthouse was of a high standard. The full English breakfast was tasty although a little on the small side for a grown man such as myself - that said, the proprieter did offer more toast. Because the dining room only has 3 tables you are rather self conscious about your tableside conversations, and the group I stayed with all agreed that the dining room atmosphere could be improved by having some radio in the background, just to take the edge off the silence. If I were to stay in Exeter in the future Woodbine would be my first port of call.'

Woodbine Guesthouse comes highly recommended
5 stars 5

'The "Mature Couple" was me and my sister, who were in Exeter overnight for my sister's daughter's graduation on 18/07/2011. I found Woodbine Guesthouse via Google, booked online and that was the first positive experience and it remained positive from checking in to checking out. Our en suite double room was spacious, very clean and comfortable. The owner was endearingly friendly and helpful from checking in to checking out. The full breakfast was served on time, freshley cooked, served hot, tasty, nutritious and appreciated by a meat eater and a vegetarian. Me and my sister intend to stay there again and highly recommend it.'

A lovely guesthouse would recommend it to anyone!
5 stars 5

'I stayed here while looking for a place to move to in Exeter. When I arrived I was met promptly at the door and given a very warm welcome. I was imediately shown to my room and how to use all the facilites such as the shower etc. I was then given a slip of paper with a breakfast request on so I could choose what I wanted for breakfast and at what time (Between 7-8.30)which was to be left in the lobby before bedtime. I thought this was a great idea. The room was light and airy and the en suite compact and clean, with a powerful shower. Breakfast was served in the morning exactly as I requested. I really enjoyed my stay and would recommend it to anyone.'
