'We stayed on a very cold, snowy weekend in February 2012. 2 adults and our cocker spaniel. My main concern was if I was going to be warm enough but the bedroom was lovely and warm. We found the staff and Inn very welcoming and relaxing. The food was excellent and all freshly cooked and home made. Breakfasts were very good and filling. Our dog was welcomed wherever he went so this is an ideal choice for those who want their dog with them at all times.A lovely walk to the side of the Inn which takes you through beautiful countryside and goes on for miles. Bar very relaxed and a good log fire. Just what you want for a winter break.'

'This Inn has a relaxed friendly informal atmosphere due to the welcoming nature of Bill, Mo and staff. Well behaved dogs are welcome but you dont worry about them being an issue if they step a bit out of line. We have stayed on a number of occcasions, the accomodation also being good value for the area.'

'We stayed overnight at the Merrymouth Inn on 26th Nov, Weather was as you would expect for time of year, cold and grey, We recieved a warm welcome from Bill as soon as we walked through the door, this friendliness continued throughout the stay,The food was first class with a hearty lunch, then later dinner by the roaring log fire, our room was warm and cosy, we were warned that the shower was a little temperamental and it was,The next day was sunny and bright and after a full English we enjoyed a great day exploring the beautiful Cotswold villages. A lovely weekend'

'The Merrymouth Inn had it all: excellent food, very friendly people, more then enough parking space and the peace and quite we were looking for. Really enjoyed the downstairs room and the help after spraining my ankle during a walk in the countryside. Many thanks and hope to return!'

'Good clean basic room. Quiet in spite of being so near to the main road. Excellent meals in the restaurant - in particular the fish dishes were outstanding. The hosts were friendly and eager to please without being 'too pushy'. The double handrail up the steep stairs was a bonus after my knee operation. The quiet courtyard with its pretty pots of flowers and hanging baskets was an ideal place to relax after a busy day sightseeing. We would return if in the area again.'

'We had an excellent time at this place; it was centrally located; within a few minutes drive from Stow on the wold and Bourton on the water; Food was excellent! They served hot breakfast and even vegetarian meals for our dinner, per our request; Internet access was a big plus! The family room, with a bunk bed for kids was great, except for some spiders and webs on the ceiling, too close to the top bunk; one brush away and everything was fine. loved to look at the two horses outside from our room. Garden was very lovingly maintained; I can easily imagine a small scale wedding in the beautiful yard full of flowers and the grape vine. Thanks Bill, for making our stay pleasant!'

'This is the second time my wife and i have stayed at the Merrymouth Inn, the last time was with a couple of friends, and we will be back. Bill, the landlord, is a character not to be missed, he is friendly, full of fun and very helpful with a wicked sense of humour. The food was a joy, no la de da fancy rubbish, just good tasty honest food we all enjoyed at a reasonable price. The accomodation is not fancy but clean, warm and comfortable, just what you need after along journey. Thanks Bill we will see you again.'

'We spent a week here and were very pleased with the warmth of the welcome, and the good food, and pleasant accommodation. Our hosts were very helpful, and went out of their way to meet all our requests. The area is beautiful and convenient for visiting the Cotswolds. The room was pleasant and comfortable. The shower was a bit hit and miss at times, but nevertheless we had a very enjoyable week.'

'We, myself, wife and two adult children, arrived late, post 10.30 pm and Bill kept the bar open for us. The drink was very welcome after a long day in the Malvern Hills. Although I slept well enough my recommendation to Bill would be to change out the matress in No9 chalet. The springs were a bit too noticeable. The staff prepared a breakfast fit for a King, even Henry 8th would have had enough. Thnkyou. It rained on us so we could not take advantage of an afternnon cocktail in the nice garden or surrounds. Nice stay and I would recommend the Inn. Richard from Chicago'
