'1 week after a hideous experience at the travelodge scarboro we CANCELLED the next booking there & found this PROPER hotel via the net. Only stayed the 1 night but it was spot-on what we needed. Glen & Lynn made us immediately welcome, our 2 rooms exactly as per the pics on website, nice beer in the bar, all the local info we needed to know, a perfect nights sleep in a silent location & in the morning a delicious full english breakfast to finish our stay there. A full yes TICK from us'

'As always very welcoming and very child friendly , our three young boys absolutely love staying at the Russell hotel, as do myself and my husband, the accommodation is always clean and the family room is fantastic for us as we are a family of five and find it difficult to get accommodation to suit us. We would recommend to friends and family and will certainly be visiting again. 'Excellent! We were very pleased with our room - no. 8. It was very clean, bright and welcoming. The bedlinen was crisp white cotton and the towels soft and fluffy. Having a seperate room for the kids was idealand was the main reason for choosing the hotel in the first place. Breakfast was delicious, with lots of choice. Service was great - nothing was any trouble. We will definately book again when we come and visit our family in Scarborough aain. thank you for a great stay!'
