'My partner, her daughter and son-in-law spent a very cosy night at Castle Cottage despite the freezing temperature outside. The welcome and breakfast was as warm as the bedrooms and it was a delight to stay there after we had celebrated my brother's 50th birthday party! Would happily visit again and sincerely recommend a stay here.'

'Although travelling for business rather than pleasure, it was most definitely a pleasure to stay with Lucinda at Castle Cottages. Set in the most beautiful country garden, this lovely chocolate box cottage has all you need to enjoy a long weekend. Take a torch as there is little street lighting which can make the walk to the pub a little scary but no complaints here. Breakfast with homemade jam and locally source fruit juice made it simply perfect.'

'Castle Cottage is a lovely little nest. It has a perfect balance of comfort, size and nice modern facilities in a charming house with beautiful garden and surroundings. A generous and excellent breakfast is available with fresh products such as marvelous home made jams, freshly squeezed orange juice or hot chocolate.'

'The setting of Castle Cottage is perfect, just by the village square of one of the prettiest villages in Britain, in a house which has seen centuries of life yet is comfortable and modern. The breakfast and hospitality are a dream - don't miss the variety of jams made by Lucinda herself from fruit she grows in the gorgeous garden. Even the cat welcomed me like an old friend. To cap it all, Lucinda even gave me a sheet with a traffic free route through the woods for my morning run, along the North Downs Way. The shower was very powerful - which is not often the case in Britain. Shame I was only there for the weekend, but I will ensure I am back in Castle Cottage again soon.'

'Everything was just as a good B&B should be, except that the online booking hadn't made it through to Castle Cottage, despite the booking confirmation. Although not expected, we were made very welcome with tea & biscuits to enjoy whilst the room was readied. thereafter, things only improved - a comfortable room & breakfast to die for. We hope to return. The rating would have been 5* if the booking had worked OK'
