'Corner Beech House combines a cheerful atmosphere and unfussy comfort, with excellent accommadation and beautifully prepared and presented food. Warm, relaxing and spotlessly clean;it gives many surprising and welcome "nice touches" (ranging from slippers in the bedroom to homemade jam and maralade after a breakfast which might have included fell-bred bacon, kedgeree, free range eggs, locally-sourced atrisan sausages, smoked haddock and homemade fruit salad, and a library of books and DVDs) for the guest to enjoy. Conveniently located within the town of Grange and also for the Furness District and South Lakes; it possesses breath-taking views of Morecombe Bay. 'I (51y)stayed at the hotel with my Dad(76y)for a weekend in August. Both our rooms were very nicely thought out in terms of furniture. The rooms were very clean as were the bathrooms. There had been a lot of attention to detail as to provisions in the bathroom. There was plenty of choice of teas with the kettle and it was nice to have a full sized mug instead of a small teacup. Neil very kindly carried my Dad`s suitcase up to the first floor and down again when we were leaving. Katherine explained the use of the TV & DVD and showed us where we could find everything including a very good selection of DVDs and books. The dining room was very nice and again well planned with nice furnishings. Breakfast was really nice and I would recommend the scrambled egg which was cooked to perfection. The hotel was very quiet and there was no noise from adjoining rooms, as can be heard in the purpose built Travellodges. There is a car park. The hotel is situated in a good position, we did not have seaview bedrooms but were not overlooked by other buildings. The hotel isn`t position for walking into the town centre if you are not used to exercise. But there are plenty of carparking facilities in Grange. Overall a very nice hotel and hoteliers and I would have no hesitation in recommending it.'
