Close to Lake Windermere, May Cottage is the perfect base to explore all the Southern Lakes of the beautiful Cumbrian Lake District; Just one road from the Bowness jetty, it's two minutes to the boat rides; quaint shops and a variety of Bistros, Restaurants and Wine & Tapas Bars. Home of Beatrice Potter and many famous English Poets, Artists, Sculptors, Actors, Playwrites and Musicians. Wonderful, never ending, breathtaking scenic walks and drives. Free Leisure facilities offer relaxing sauna, steam, jacuzzi & swim areas, with snooker, cafe lounge & bar with SKY T.V. Our full English breakfasts are "Champion!" - with fruit juice; home-made fresh fruit salad; Cereals; Main Breakfast; Thick hot toast; Tea/Coffee. Special diets cater for, with notice. Private, rear-of-building carpark; Bike lock-up; Broard band/Wi-Fi; Well behaved children over 10, welcome. Hair drier / Iron & Board available for room.
