'It may be called 'auld', but no-one should mistake that for 'obsolete' in any sense! This is an old house recently refurbished to excellent standards. Our (art deco) bedroom was a joy, and in the en-suite no expense was spared either. Add to that a truly perfect breakfast, plus very friendly and helpful hosts, and it becomes unclear how anything less than 5 stars could ever be considered!'

'We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. We were made very welcome. The accomodation was excellent as was the decor finished to a very high standard. The ensuite was just like a showroom just beautiful and spotlessly clean. The breakfast was delicious with a large selection of dishes to choose from. Would definitely book again'

Follow in the footsteps of the fishermen's wives down 336 steps at Whaligoe, or take an unforgettable day trip to the Orkney Islands from John O'Groats.
